Wonderful body and taste

Great coffee abound. Love it still.

This bottle held up. Very dark with some copper hue, light head with no retention. Nose a bit vinous, boozy, woody. Taste leans toward the liquor, bourbon and sherry most prominent. Body is above medium with slight carbonation.

Simply perfect. Notes evident from each brewery. One of the best ales ever.

Perfectly aging. Reminds me of the good old days.

Tried after the mocha variant. Did not last as well. Oxidation present.

Great look, dark, small head. Nose almost non existent. Taste big on coffee, not huge on cocoa. Very dry.

At one year quite delicious. Nose good molasses, wood. Taste heavy wood. Body medium high and right for a porter.

Good to have one on release but not a great one to age. Really good when young if you like hot barrel aged ale.

Sour with that mild lemongrass back end. Nothing spectacular. Enjoyable.

Thin body but tasty stout. Nose full of bourbon, wood, and chocolate. Taste boozy, powder cocoa, sweet malts. Body could be fuller, still very enjoyable.

Seems to be a smoked malt. A bit oxidized but still good in general. A little mysterious.

Clear light yellow, not much carbonation, so minimal head, no lacing. Basil dominates the nose in a good way, hard to pick up the base funk. Taste balances the pineapple with the basil. The additions must been significant. Glad to had this one chance to drink this ale.

More sour than I hoped, but that thought came back on release day. Complex flavors, good.
