Great look, dark, small head. Nose almost non existent. Taste big on coffee, not huge on cocoa. Very dry.

Great barrel notes incorporated with the earthy base ale. Loved it

At one year quite delicious. Nose good molasses, wood. Taste heavy wood. Body medium high and right for a porter.

Good to have one on release but not a great one to age. Really good when young if you like hot barrel aged ale.
Drank 750 ml of Melissa by Propolis Brewing (2016)March 28th, 2021

Sour with that mild lemongrass back end. Nothing spectacular. Enjoyable.

Fantastic! Hint of mushroom and light sourness. Carbonation dropped off but otherwise excellent.
Drank 12 oz of Bishop's Barrel 5 by Saint Arnold Brewing Company (2013-10-25)March 11th, 2021
2021-03-11
Thin body but tasty stout. Nose full of bourbon, wood, and chocolate. Taste boozy, powder cocoa, sweet malts. Body could be fuller, still very enjoyable.

Seems to be a smoked malt. A bit oxidized but still good in general. A little mysterious.
Drank 500 ml of Pineapple Thai Basil Petite Golden Sour by The Collective Brewing Project (2017)March 11th, 2021
2021-03-11
Clear light yellow, not much carbonation, so minimal head, no lacing. Basil dominates the nose in a good way, hard to pick up the base funk. Taste balances the pineapple with the basil. The additions must been significant. Glad to had this one chance to drink this ale.
Drank 500 ml of Flanders Fields by Vista Brewing (2020-12)March 10th, 2021

More sour than I hoped, but that thought came back on release day. Complex flavors, good.
Drank 500 ml of Le Saison with Peaches and Cherries by Vista Brewing (2019-09)March 9th, 2021
2023-02-14
Beautiful drink on Valentine's Day! Good fruit and minimal sourness.
2021-03-09
Fruits show well as it warms. First pour clear red hued color while later pour more cloudy and brownish from yeast. Peaches more prominent on nose. Both fruits subtle on taste. Really aged well.
Drank 12 oz of Tweak (Bourbon Barrel) by Avery Brewing Company (2017-10-27)March 7th, 2021
2021-03-07
So rich and wonderful. Coffee and chocolate notes with perfect booziness backing it up. Need to start collecting these.
Drank 750 ml of Fathead Barleywine - Reserve Series Aged In Whiskey Barrels by Nebraska Brewing Company (2015)March 7th, 2021
2021-03-07
A bit over the hill, still enjoyed.
Drank 500 ml of Aurelian Lure by Jester King Craft Brewery (2017-07)March 7th, 2021

Extreme sour with Apricot well represented.
Drank 12 oz of Barrel Aged Dystopia by Greenbush Brewing Company (2017-02-19)March 7th, 2021
2021-03-07
Very dark brown, small brown head, ring of retention. Nose leads with wood, follows with bourbon, light roasted malt. Taste big on bourbon, boozy, great backdrop of base stout chocolate. Lighter body and light carbonation.
Drank 750 ml of Wytchmaker Farmhouse Rye IPA by Jester King Craft Brewery (2014-07-29)March 7th, 2021
2021-03-07
No gusher this time. Great balance of tart and funk. Mild hop presence.
2020-05-06
Simply amazing. Gusher. Everything else is perfect. Great flavors with small oxidation.
