Drank 22 oz of Raspberry Temptress by Lakewood Brewing Co | October 3rd, 2025 |
2025-10-03 Enjoyed at SPI for Blast n Cast. Stored for around 5 years at cellar temp. Held up very well with much raspberry and chocolate flavor. Dark pour and a decent beige head. Great body and good lingering finish.
Drank 16 oz of Darkness - Barrel Aged by Surly Brewing Co. (2023) | September 26th, 2025 |
2025-09-26 Pours opaque black with thick beige head and great retention/lacing. Nose surprisingly grainy, cocoa puffs, woody, and mild bourbon. Taste is also toasty grain forward with molasses, mild anise, and bourbon with detectable booziness. Big body and carries some sweetness along with much more carbonation that typical of the style.
Drank 275 ml of Harvest Ale (Lagavulin Cask) by JW Lees and Co. (Brewers) Ltd. (2014) | August 16th, 2025 |
2025-08-16 Tiki Party. Finishes like finger paint per Alec, and I agree. Many other notes of sweet and subtle spice.

Drank 22 oz of Lips Of Faith - Le Terroir by New Belgium Brewing (2015) | August 3rd, 2025 |
2025-08-03 Enjoyed at HCBS #33. Favorite of 2025, 2020, and 2015. Balance between tartness and flavors. More fruity and simply enjoyable.

Drank 22 oz of For A Few Unidragons More by Clown Shoes (2017-02-16) | July 10th, 2025 |
2025-07-10 Pours thick and black with no head or lacing. Mild nose of coffee and bourbon. Taste brings molasses, coffee, more bourbon, wood. The body is big and beautiful with minimal carbonation.
Drank 750 ml of Brut des Franches by Brasserie des Franches-Montagnes (2015) | July 9th, 2025 |
2025-07-09 2015 bottle. Cork pop was a tough pull then immense, no gush. Light yellow color with huge white head, good retention. Great farmhouse nose. Sour with acetic notes, blending a bit intense like good balsamic. Medium body and high carbonation.
Drank 500 ml of Laissez Faire by Vista Brewing (2020-09) | July 3rd, 2025 |
2025-07-03 Just had a Sep 2020 bottle. Super impressed with the results. Carbonation was low but produced a thin white head with low retention. Nose has cherry and funky notes. Taste adds some wood, and tart plus light brett. You can pour it totally clean, but I reserved the bottom. It was thick and tasted like cherry pie without being sweet. Glad I have 2 more bottles.
