Pours black with thick beige head, slight retention minimal lacing. Nose brandy, marshmallow, wood. Boozy, anise, molasses, cocoa. Slight oxidation but not an impairment. Full body and mild carbonation.

Perfection in a bottle
Amazing level of coffee. Stout might be fading a touch.

|Drank 22 oz of Language of Thunder: Mocha by TrimTab Brewery (2017)||April 3rd, 2021|
Great look, dark, small head. Nose almost non existent. Taste big on coffee, not huge on cocoa. Very dry.
|Drank 500 ml of Rosanna by Vista Brewing (2020-03)||April 2nd, 2021|
Great barrel notes incorporated with the earthy base ale. Loved it
|Drank 750 ml of (512) Whiskey Barrel Aged Double Pecan Porter by (512) Brewing Company (2020)||April 2nd, 2021|
Good to have one on release but not a great one to age. Really good when young if you like hot barrel aged ale.
|Drank 750 ml of Melissa by Propolis Brewing (2016)||March 28th, 2021|
Sour with that mild lemongrass back end. Nothing spectacular. Enjoyable.
|Drank 22 oz of Hammer Of The Beast by Clown Shoes (2016-10-20)||March 26th, 2021|
Superb. Perfect booze and beer balance. Held up with no relevant oxidation issues.
|Drank 750 ml of Snörkel by Jester King Craft Brewery (2014-07-08)||March 19th, 2021|
Fantastic! Hint of mushroom and light sourness. Carbonation dropped off but otherwise excellent.
|Drank 12 oz of Bishop's Barrel 5 by Saint Arnold Brewing Company (2013-10-25)||March 11th, 2021|
Thin body but tasty stout. Nose full of bourbon, wood, and chocolate. Taste boozy, powder cocoa, sweet malts. Body could be fuller, still very enjoyable.
Seems to be a smoked malt. A bit oxidized but still good in general. A little mysterious.
|Drank 500 ml of Pineapple Thai Basil Petite Golden Sour by The Collective Brewing Project (2017)||March 11th, 2021|
Clear light yellow, not much carbonation, so minimal head, no lacing. Basil dominates the nose in a good way, hard to pick up the base funk. Taste balances the pineapple with the basil. The additions must been significant. Glad to had this one chance to drink this ale.
