Drank 22 oz of Totality by FiftyFifty Brewing Co. (2017) | February 9th, 2021 |
2021-02-09 Pours black, brown head, some lacing. Nose light roasted malt, vanilla, dog biscuit. Taste creamy coffee, chocolate, cocoa nibs, slight anise, mildly bitter finish. Big body with higher than expected carbonation. Much more of an experience than expected.
Drank 12 oz of Bishop's Barrel 8 by Saint Arnold Brewing Company (2014-12-24) | February 6th, 2021 |
2021-02-06 Similar to last bottle. Black pour, minimal foam, no retention or lacing. Has dropped off but very good. I the world of big, barrel aged stouts this one is more tame, especially on the nose. Taste of roasted malt, molasses, very light on wood and bourbon. Above average body and low carbonation. Only a little sorry to drink my last one.
2020-02-27 Really good! Lightly dropped off.Nice malt and bourbon notes.
Drank 330 ml of L'Amoureuse Blanche by Brasserie Trois Dames | February 2nd, 2021 |
2021-02-02 Still, golden, no lacing. Nose of grapefruit rind, vinous, slight funk. Taste very much like IPA without bitterness, citrus, white grape, finish a bit off.
Drank 750 ml of Cantillon Iris by Brasserie Cantillon (2014-12-18) | January 30th, 2021 |
2021-01-30 Cork perfect, amber-copper color, small white head, minimal lacing. Nose light funk, barnyard, grapefruit. Taste very complex, sourness seems to be both acetic and lactic, leaning on lactic, apple, grapefruit, mild bitterness, leather, earthy, dry finish.
Drank 275 ml of Harvest Ale (Lagavulin Cask) by JW Lees and Co. (Brewers) Ltd. (2013) | January 24th, 2021 |
2023-04-04 HCBS #13 beer. Loved by all at 10 years. Smokey, peaty scotch coming through as an excellent compliment to the ale.

2023-03-14 A bit disappointed on this one. Heavy mold on the cap but no infiltration on seal. Good flavor up front but finish not as good as others in this year.

2021-01-08 2012 bottle on Jan 8, 2021. Pouring translucent coppery brown, light head, light lacing. Nose a bit stale, some caramel and bourbon. Drank 500 ml of Scots Gone Wild by Real Ale Brewing Company (2016) | January 3rd, 2021 |
2021-01-03 Opaque brown, no head, slight foam ring. Nose more funky than scotch, some cherry and vinegar. Taste comes up sour, some malt sweetness, but very tart. Acetic along with other bugs. Not recognizable as a scotch ale. Reminds me of a BFM Chien more than anything else. Body is maybe a bit more than average but much less than expected, carbonation low.
