Sorry to see the end of this one. So good!
2024-02-26
Delicious! Shared with Deanne at Kennett Flash over some bossa nova.
2023-12-29
Bright, light (for a 10% triple), and loaded with grapefruit. Just what I love from OH. Can't beat the company, too!
Drank 12 oz of 120 Minute IPA by Dogfish Head Craft Brewery (2022)December 27th, 2023
2023-12-27
What the hell is this sorcery? So delicious! Obvious bitterness and piney hop notes with a malty backbone reminiscent of a barleywine. Yum!
Drank 750 ml of Salted Chocolate Abraxas by Perennial Artisan Ales (2023)December 25th, 2023
2023-12-25
Hot Damn. Take the delicious Abraxas base and add just enough salt and chocolate to somehow make it even smoother and more well balanced. So well crafted. Shared with Deanne, Natalie, Andrew and Hannah over a game of Skipbo with Jeff.
Drank 1 l of Rolling Thunder Imperial Stout by Rogue Ales (2016)December 25th, 2023
2023-12-25
Tons of coffee, some chocolate, and some bourbon. Just the way I like it. It's held up well all of these years. Shared with Hannah, Deanne, Natalie, and Andrew over a game of Skipbo with Jeff.
Drank 16 oz of Rye Barrel Aged Ink by Rhinegeist Brewery (2020)December 18th, 2023
2023-12-18
Wasn't sure what to expect with this one, but very pleased. Lovely chocolate and rye spice. Nicely boozy but easy drinking. A winner for sure that I would absolutely pick up again.
Drank 16 oz of 25 Anniversary Beer by Heavy Seas Beer (2020)December 12th, 2023
2023-12-12
What a great beer! Boozy AF, but layered with flavor. I'm a big fan of this one. Caramel, toffee, vanilla, and a bit of... Fruit somehow? Not really sure, but it's delicious!

Drank 16 oz of 17 Mint Chocolate Stout by Perennial Artisan AlesDecember 5th, 2023
2023-12-05
The second one of these didn't seem to hold up quite as well as the first. I'm iffy on buying this one again, I think.
2023-04-11
Not nearly as sweet or minty as I was expecting. Not the pastry stout I was expecting. Nice, though. A very nice stout with subtle additions.
Drank 12 oz of KBS Maple Mackinaw Fudge by Founders Brewing (2022-08-09)November 29th, 2023
2023-11-29
Last of these...for now.
2023-11-17
Interesting to drink this back to back after a Bourbon County Mon Cheri Stout from 2019. Definitely a big difference. This doesn't have anywhere near as much body, and seems less complex.
2023-08-16
Shared with Deanne. Satisfied her chocolate craving!
2023-01-23
No maple to speak of but loads of chocolate. Somehow not sweet though. Enjoyed it!
Drank 650 ml of The Abyss Brandy 2016 by Deschutes Brewery (2016)November 26th, 2023
2023-11-26
Really delicious. Delightfully boozy, cherry, vanilla, chocolate. Not as sweet as I expected and I liked it. I'd absolutely buy it again.

Drank 12 oz of Black Butte XXXIV by Deschutes Brewery (2022-06-23)November 19th, 2023
2024-02-27
Last of these and I'm ok with it. Not my favorite.
2023-11-19
Not nearly as much booziness or whiskey character as I was hoping for. Plenty of coffee and...bitterness. I was a bit disappointed with this one, honestly.

Drank 16 oz of Bourbon County Brand Mon Chéri Stout (2019) by Goose Island Beer Co.November 16th, 2023
2023-11-16
Subtle cherry, even after aging for 4 years. Thick, rich, boozy - everything I love about Bourbon County stouts. The granola aspect is lovely. Kind of an earthy, slightly sweet flavor that's not like the sweeter backbone of the stout as a whole. Yum!
