Actually pretty impressed with this beer. Not syrupy sweet. Plenty of spice flavor with a nice backbone. If it had a bit more mid-range flavor and heft it would be unstoppable. Still, very nice.

Wow. Basically the epitome of what a boozy AF BBA stout should be. Loads of chocolate and caramel. Almost like a stout/barleywine blend. Would buy again for sure! Shared with Deanne, Hannah, Natalie and Andrew at Fairfield Glade over Christmas.

Really surprised by this one. Probably heresy, but I haven't generally been a fan of Alagash. This is a very nice beer though. Slightly sweet, slightly tropical, definitely bourbon. Would buy again.
