Really delicious. Delightfully boozy, cherry, vanilla, chocolate. Not as sweet as I expected and I liked it. I'd absolutely buy it again.

Last of these and I'm ok with it. Not my favorite.
2023-11-19
Not nearly as much booziness or whiskey character as I was hoping for. Plenty of coffee and...bitterness. I was a bit disappointed with this one, honestly.
Drank 12 oz of KBS Maple Mackinaw Fudge by Founders Brewing (2022-08-09)November 17th, 2023

Last of these...for now.

Interesting to drink this back to back after a Bourbon County Mon Cheri Stout from 2019. Definitely a big difference. This doesn't have anywhere near as much body, and seems less complex.
2023-08-16
Shared with Deanne. Satisfied her chocolate craving!
2023-01-23
No maple to speak of but loads of chocolate. Somehow not sweet though. Enjoyed it!
Drank 16 oz of Bourbon County Brand Mon Chéri Stout (2019) by Goose Island Beer Co.November 16th, 2023
2024-06-26
Last of these. Shared with Deanne and Natalie on the deck. A really great BCBS variant.

Subtle cherry, even after aging for 4 years. Thick, rich, boozy - everything I love about Bourbon County stouts. The granola aspect is lovely. Kind of an earthy, slightly sweet flavor that's not like the sweeter backbone of the stout as a whole. Yum!
Drank 12 oz of Whiskey Rebellion by Warped Wing Brewing Company (2020)November 15th, 2023
2023-11-15
Just ok, I think. 2020 edition. Definitely caramel with a little vanilla and chocolate. Nothing wrong with it, but it didn't blow my socks off.

Yeah, still not my favorite. An interesting beer to try, but I'm not sure I needed 4.
2023-08-23
Surprisingly sour, actually. Definite cherry as well. Not what I was expecting. Expected a more traditional Belgian ale.
