Drank 375 ml of Temptation by Russian River Brewing Company (2013-05-30)May 25th, 2014
2014-05-25
Effectively perfect. Great beer.
2013-08-11
Delicious, as always.
Drank 750 ml of MischMishMish by The Bruery (2014)May 23rd, 2014
2014-05-23
Still great, lots of apricot and tiny but of brett character.
2014-04-25
Awesome beer, still bummed I couldn't get more. Basically tastes like Mischief with apricots added (which I'd wager is the actual deal with this beer). Hope it becomes a standard.
Drank 750 ml of 2010 Vintage Oak Aged Ale (Barrel No. 144) by Brouwerij Rodenbach (2010)May 22nd, 2014
2017-05-07
Smells sour but super mild on the palate, amazing notes of apple, candy, super mellow funk, and wine like profile. Amazingly complex beer that works amazingly well.
2014-05-22
This beer is so great. So mellow, perfect tartness on the finish, and such leathery, oaky flavors throughout. Could drink this all day.
Drank 750 ml of Take The Black Stout by Brewery Ommegang (2013)May 19th, 2014
2014-05-19
Not bad; not as much anise as expected, which was good, and a nice roasted character on the finish.
Drank 12 oz of Conflux Series No. 1 (Collage) by Deschutes Brewery / Hair of the Dog Brewing Company (2012)May 17th, 2014
2014-05-17
Didn't like it at first, but got better as it warmed up. Not great, but not bad, some weird notes kind of like the other Hair of the Dog bottle I had recently.
2013-05-01
Well carbonated, an interesting take on the Old Ale style, but was hoping for more Hair of the Dog influence.
Drank 22 oz of Mother Of All Storms by Pelican Pub & Brewery (2013-12-03)May 13th, 2014
2014-05-13
Not bad, not as good as Sucaba, but a solid barleywine that I was able to drink in a sitting. Definitely a bit boozy.
Drank 750 ml of Windowsill by The Bruery (2013-08-15)May 11th, 2014
2014-05-11
Pretty good, definitely hits the intended mark and still a lot of fruit, though a little lacking in complexity. A straightforward but solid beer.
2013-11-02
Quite tart, lots of raspberry, murky color but some nice fruit characteristics that are somewhat overwhelmed with the sourness. Not bad at all.
Drank 750 ml of Melange No. 9 by The Bruery (2014-01-29)May 11th, 2014
2014-05-11
"Tastes like a tiki bar drink" about sums it up. Subdued coconut, definite ginger and spice presence, and a nice, tart finish. Enjoyed this more than I expected to.
Drank 750 ml of Allagash Curieux by Allagash Brewing Company (2011-12)May 7th, 2014
2014-05-07
Still good, though the bourbon has definitely faded, tending to agree this one will be better fresher.
Drank 650 ml of Espresso Imperial Russian Stout by Stone Brewing (2013-03-28)May 6th, 2014
2014-05-06
This has held up great! That great Stone IRS backing with some nice espresso on top, which surprisingly has not significantly faded. Delicious, may even have to pick up another.
2013-04-25
Espresso quite strong, and tasty. Big nose as a result, and the finish has a lot of coffee. Good, but wonder how the coffee will hold up to age.
Drank 750 ml of Arctic Saison by Grassroots Brewing (2013-05)May 6th, 2014
2014-05-06
Still delicious, nice, light, and perhaps a bit funkier than it was fresh, in a good way.
2013-07-10
A delicious saison, brett adding mostly bready notes and not much tartness, but extremely well balanced and quite quaffable.
Drank 500 ml of Framinghammer Baltic Porter - Bourbon Barrel Aged With Barismo Coffee by Jack's Abby (2014)May 6th, 2014
2014-05-06
Delicious, light sweetness is well balanced with the coffee, definitely feeling the Baltic Porter vibe. Great beer.
Drank 750 ml of Tripel Tonnellerie by The Bruery (2014-04-04)May 2nd, 2014
2014-05-02
Weird, not good, a bad Brett character on the finish, not balanced, a little off even.
Drank 22 oz of Old Guardian Oak Smoked Barley Wine by Stone Brewing (2013)April 27th, 2014
2014-04-27
Pretty good! Smokiness makes a nice compliment to the typical barley wine sweetness.
2013-03-15
Interesting barleywine, oaked/smoked aspect gives it a unique sharpness, and it's not too sweet nor syrupy. I like it.
Drank 750 ml of Rue d'Floyd by The Bruery (2014-03-13)April 26th, 2014
2017-04-27
Dumped; soured as expected
2014-06-27
Feeling like the finish is maybe hinting at signs of turning, but still a damn delicious beer. Should drink the final one soon.
2014-04-26
Absolutely amazingly delicious, a perfect mix of chocolate, vanilla, porter, and coffee flavors. This beer screams "dessert!" in the best possible way. Will have to order some more despite the aging dangers.
