Drank 750 ml of 2012 Vintage Oak Aged Ale (Barrel No. 170) by Brouwerij Rodenbach (2012)December 5th, 2024
2024-12-05
Delicious, mellow, almost exactly like I remember it, no pronounced funk, still effervescent. Held up amazingly. Enjoyed with Marshall and Trykie.
Drank 12 oz of Bourbon County Brand Barleywine by Goose Island Beer Co. (2013-09-24)August 17th, 2024
2024-08-17
Really delicious! Surprisingly low oxidation and still a lovely mellow sweetness, really hides its ABV.
2015-01-25
The cotton candy is subdued, but this is still tasting great, especially as it warms up a bit.
2013-12-19
Amazing; calling it a barley wine seems almost cheating, it's super thick, awesome marshmallow sweetness coupled with a roastiness in the finish. This is great.
Drank 12 oz of Otto From The Wood by Hair of the Dog Brewing Company (2013)June 16th, 2024
2024-06-16
Big! up front, but lots of oak, sweetness, some toffee. Tasty but a sipper.
2014-03-30
Amazing beer, the fruit is crazy for the size and age, possibly some detritus in the bottle (barrel fragments?) but oh man who cares, amazing beer.
Drank 750 ml of Saison Bernice by Sante Adairius Rustic Ales (2013-09)June 16th, 2024
2024-06-16
A little funk but mostly sour, pretty mellow given the age! Kind of a harsh edge? But still enjoyable.
Drank 750 ml of Lucybelle by Sante Adairius Rustic Ales (2017)March 15th, 2024
2024-03-15
What a delightful warm evening treat. Rounded, balanced, extremely drinkable. A crowd pleaser.
Drank 750 ml of Fruitful Forecast - Mixed Berry by Sante Adairius Rustic Ales (2022)March 8th, 2024
2024-03-08
Lots of sediment in the pours, decently tart up front with some (but not a lot of) nebulous fruit on the palate. Not bad but not a favorite.
Drank 750 ml of A Thousand Summers by Sante Adairius Rustic Ales (2020)March 1st, 2024
2024-03-01
Excellent! Super mellow, muted sourness, and tons of cherry plus a subtle sprinkling of nectarine. Delicious and a crowd pleaser.
Drank 750 ml of Like Minds by Sante Adairius Rustic Ales (2018)February 23rd, 2024
2024-02-23
Nice straightforward saison, good punch up front on first sip and mellow and delicious thereafter.
Drank 750 ml of Pockets of Peace by Sante Adairius Rustic Ales (2022)January 5th, 2024
2024-01-05
Fruit medium, tart up front but mellows on subsequent sips, balanced and delicious.
Drank 375 ml of Framboise For A Cure by Russian River Brewing Company (2014-09-04)June 12th, 2023
2023-06-12
More body than the 2015 with a little less fruit, but definitely the better of the two.
2020-08-31
Not much fruit left but a very pleasantly tart and mellow framboise, with hints of sweetness coming through.
2015-06-26
Delicious as always, not too much raspberry left but still lots of citrus, and that perfect Russian River sour profile.
2015-03-05
Delicious, amazing color, great nose, lots of citrus and still a good bit of fruit there. Amazing beer.
2015-01-23
Still tasting amazing, plenty of fruit, best color of the batches tonight, if anything tasting a little more balanced now than it did fresh.
2014-11-16
Delicious, some lemon character, mild raspberry, great tang, a good start.
Drank 750 ml of Boon Oude Geuze Mariage Parfait by Brouwerij Boon (2009)June 2nd, 2023
2023-06-02
Big, not boozy, not too funky, a little barnhouse and tasty! Surprisingly refreshing, expected a bigger kick.
Drank 750 ml of Bright Sea Blonde by Sante Adairius Rustic Ales (2018)June 2nd, 2023
2023-06-02
Grains of Paradise really add a zing but it's not too ginger-forward which I appreciated. Pleasant and easy drinker.
Drank 375 ml of Framboise For A Cure by Russian River Brewing Company (2015-09-04)June 2nd, 2023
2023-06-02
A little more fruit than the 2014 opened at the same time, but a little less developed profile. Tasty but not the winner.
2015-10-01
Great fruit character, bright color, super tart, some citrus. Great.

Sweet, a little bit of funk but not much. Pretty solid but not terribly standout.
2022-05-13
Delicious! Mild sour, some light fruit notes (though don't think there's any actual fruit), tasty.
