Drank 750 ml of Chocolate Rain by The Bruery (2013-12-04)April 30th, 2017
2017-04-30
Really big up front with a tiny bit of heat, but super chocolately on the finish. Yum.
2014-03-08
Big, boozy, lots of roasted chocolate, almost no head, a bit harsh on the finish but oh man what a beer. Raiiiiiin.
Drank 750 ml of Chocolate Rain by The Bruery (2013-02-28)April 30th, 2017
2013-12-08
Great; easier drinking than Black Tuesday, with great chocolate overtones (though not too on the nose) with some roasted character. Another huge ABV winner from The Bruery.
Drank 750 ml of Bois - Rye by The Bruery (2013-04-16)April 30th, 2017
2013-12-22
Much like the other variants, but works well with the rye (which is there but very mild). Delicious, quite drinkable.
Drank 750 ml of Bois - New American Oak by The Bruery (2013-04-22)April 30th, 2017
2013-10-26
Good, not too boozy, don't know that I get much oak, and no heat. Tasty!
Drank 750 ml of Bois - Brandy by The Bruery (2013-04-17)April 30th, 2017
2014-09-07
Very sweet, molasses laden nose, similar on the palate, with some barrel notes, some fruit, very little heat, and lots of candi sugar. Faint brandy but not a ton. Very tasty.
Drank 750 ml of Bois - Bourbon by The Bruery (2013-04-04)April 30th, 2017
2013-10-04
Big but extremely drinkable, lives up to its reputation, one of the better old ales I've had.
Drank 750 ml of Black Tuesday (Rum Barrel Aged) by The Bruery (2014-06-30)April 30th, 2017
2017-04-30
Tasting great, the rum aging adds a really nice sweetness, enjoyed this more than the 2013 regular.
Drank 750 ml of Black Tuesday by The Bruery (2013-09-13)April 30th, 2017
2017-04-30
Still pretty hot, surprisingly, but has held up well. A hell of a big first sip.
2016-12-25
Marshall drank this one in San Diego.
2016-01-09
Big, boozy, that same BT that we know and love. Great to share with a big group.
2013-11-30
Huge and in your face with the bourbon, the barrel, and lots of malty coffee and roasted chocolate flavors. A slow sipper with a lite heat, and delicious. Lives up to the reputation.
Drank 750 ml of Befuddlement by The Bruery (2014-07-03)April 30th, 2017
2017-04-30
Only got a small taste, but still lots of fruit and a nice pucker.
2015-11-07
Big, thick, noticeable rye influence and a fairly subdued fruit character. Good, but not mind blowing.
2014-11-16
Super tart, great fruit on the back end, not at all boozy, delicious.
Drank 12 oz of Parabola by Firestone Walker Brewing Co. (2017)April 27th, 2017
2017-04-27
Lots of licorice in the nose but not too much on the palate, still a bit of heat even when cold, chocolate, molasses, and toffee notes as well. Tasting good, though I think some age really does help Parabola.
Drank 650 ml of Matilda by Goose Island Beer Co. (2012-08)April 27th, 2017
2017-04-27
Has aged well; mellow sweetness, mellow funk, nice body.
2013-08-31
Definitely getting a lot more brett a year in; great beer for a warm day, nice bitterness on the finish.
2013-06-24
A little more Brett than last time; delicious!
Drank 750 ml of Rue d'Floyd by The Bruery (2014-03-13)April 27th, 2017
2017-04-27
Dumped; soured as expected
2014-06-27
Feeling like the finish is maybe hinting at signs of turning, but still a damn delicious beer. Should drink the final one soon.
2014-04-26
Absolutely amazingly delicious, a perfect mix of chocolate, vanilla, porter, and coffee flavors. This beer screams "dessert!" in the best possible way. Will have to order some more despite the aging dangers.
Drank 12 oz of Apex Predator by Off Color Brewing (2017)April 25th, 2017
2017-04-25
Really nice sweetness and a mild funk. Tasty.
Drank 16 oz of The Devil's Invention by 4 Hands Brewing Co. (2017)April 21st, 2017
2017-04-21
Coffee forward in a good way, a more balanced coffee stout than the last one. Drinkable and noice.
Drank 16 oz of The World's Colombian Coffee Exposition by Hop Butcher for the World (2017-02-23)April 21st, 2017
2017-04-21
Decent coffee on the nose, mellow on the palate but really smooth for a 10% stout. Rather creamy, especially the head, which was amazing. Good!
