Started with this one; about what I remember, lots of malt but a nice bitterness to back up the style, at least relative to some of the other English styles on pour for the evening.

Quite malty! Notes of molasses, candy, moderate carbonation, mild booziness. Should do well with aging.

Smoooooth. Tiniest bit of alcohol heat on the finish, tons of toffee and molasses, along with a hint of vanilla, on the palate. Delicious, much better than I remember the 2012 being.

Was the favorite anniversary beer of the night. Great roasted character, an extremely mild amount of oxidation for the age, and lots of chocolate. Awesome beer.

Delicious, has held up so well, a surprising amount of heat in there even! Chocolate, malt, toffee, no anise (thankfully), love it. Glad to had another as this beer is still kicking strong.

Great roastiness all throughout, not much in the nose but awesome taste profile, has held up amazingly. Absolute delight.

Tasting, somewhat surprisingly, a lot more oxidized than the 14. Expressed as more bitterness, less of a smooth blend. Not bad but hasn't held up extremely well.

Delicious. Definitely more of a barleywine than some of the other anniversary blends, but has come along really nicely, with a great balance of malt and smooth roasty notes. Dig it.

First tasting (December 2011) was silky and sweet with lots of vanilla and booziness.

Tasting great, almost a stout but not quite, smooth, very little heat, delicious.

Also just a taste of this one, seemed a bit sweeter, less time for oxidation to set in. Not bad.

Still tasting great, like a strong ale, not boozy, lots of chocolate, caramel, and toffy.

Tons of malt in the nose, but balanced on the palate, some mild stout characteristics give way to more of an Double Double Barrel kind of profile. Tasty, and not hot in the slightest.

Still tasting pretty fresh but no heat, great malt forward flavor, and nicely blended. Reminds me that these are great fresh or close to as well.

Probably the second best anniversary of the evening? Fresh but amazing blend, no heat, lots of different sweet aspects working to together. Great beer.

This one kicked surprisingly early and I didn't get a chance to try it. Shame!

Tons of vanilla, a bit of bourbon, huge malt presence and quite sweet. A definite sipper, best split between four people probably.

While it was nice to have a more hop forward beer in this sea of malt, I can see why its rating isn't that hot. Blonde and bland.

Tasty! Has a surprisingly hoppy nose and a bit of hop bite, otherwise a solid barleywine, not too sweet and very drinkable.

This tasted surprisingly great! Very sweet but not sickly, really worked for the style. Not unhappy I have another one of these waiting in the fridge.

Another standout (it kicked, though I did sell it on its rarity). Mellow, balanced, with a mildly complex finish but not too aggressive. Delicious.

All the Parabolas were great, but this one was maybe my favorite. Very little oxidation, has held up amazingly, and the most roasted and bitter character in this vertical. A crowd favorite.
