Drank 750 ml of Ensorcelled by The Rare Barrel (2014-02-17)November 5th, 2017

Tasting amazing, very little oxidation and a surprising amount of fruit. Not as tart as expected either.
2017-11-05
La Folie style dark sour backing, not too much fruit left though it's still there. Pretty good, though surprisingly not many people went for it tonight.
Drank 750 ml of Cosmic Dust by The Rare Barrel (2014-07-03)November 5th, 2017
2017-11-05
Really nice and mild, hibiscus expressed as a mellow backing to a less tart version of their typical golden sour. Pleasant.
2015-06-26
Hibiscus faded but still there, especially in the nose, and just a really solid sour profile, not too funky or brett forward, just right in both areas. Delicious.
Drank 750 ml of Becoming by The Rare Barrel (2015-05-06)November 5th, 2017

Coming off the Upland this was quite mellow. Fruit mild but noticeable, all around easy sipper.
2017-11-05
Still a ton of fruit in this one, and a favorite of many who tried it. Super balanced, just the right amount of sweet and sour.
2016-01-24
Still lots of fruit, kind of low carb which helps bring it out, great color, nice balanced tartness to boot. Was great with roast pork!
Drank 750 ml of Arrows of Neon by The Rare Barrel (2016-06-08)November 5th, 2017
2017-11-05
Noticeable lemon and lime zing in this otherwise straightforward Berliner. Quite nice!
Drank 750 ml of Apropos of Nothing by The Rare Barrel (2014-09-23)November 5th, 2017
2017-11-05
Lavender super present in this! Amazing nose as a result, and really nice, if slightly weird (in a good way) on the palate.
2015-03-15
Tasting delicious, lots of fruit, not too tart at all, super clean, love this beer.
2014-12-25
Fruit in the nose, lots of acidity and fruit on the palate, got a definite cranberry thing going on that's really tasty. A crowd pleaser.
Drank 750 ml of Another World by The Rare Barrel (2016-03-03)November 5th, 2017
2017-11-05
Sampled this one, a little sweet, but not too much amber maltiness. Simple and nice.
Drank 750 ml of Afterlight by The Rare Barrel (2016-02-03)November 5th, 2017
2017-11-05
First beer of the night, fairly mild tartness with some really nice and sweet Bordeaux characteristics. Dark and delicious.
Drank 750 ml of Wise Guise by The Rare Barrel (2016-04-13)November 5th, 2017
2017-11-05
Age seems to have helped here, as the 2015 bottle tasted a little nicer, with more sweetness.
Drank 750 ml of Wise Guise by The Rare Barrel (2015-01-13)November 5th, 2017

The red base here blends nicely with the raspberries, a fairly sweet and drinkable beer.
2016-04-08
Big wine notes, a bit of fruit, good deal of raisin. Not bad but not their best.
Drank 750 ml of There Are Rules by The Rare Barrel (2016-08-09)November 5th, 2017
2021-06-18
Standout, mellowed and lots of fruit in the nose and on the palate. Delicious, crowd favorite.
2017-11-05
Lots of fruit but it all works well together. Conclusion: basically impossible to add too much fruit to one of these beers. Really good.
Drank 750 ml of Sourtooth Tiger by The Rare Barrel (2016-09-08)November 5th, 2017
2017-11-05
A lot more tart than the '14 Sourtooth, probably due to batch differences, though the former may have mellowed with age. A little too sharp but that's just me disliking the ginger, mostly.
2017-05-30
Some sour, some ginger. Actually quite nice, once the initial ginger finish wore off.
Drank 750 ml of Sourtooth Tiger by The Rare Barrel (2014-07-22)November 5th, 2017

Ginger has not mellowed with time. Fun beer, refreshing, but oh so much ginger.
2017-11-05
Still very ginger forward, but otherwise a really mellow beer. Probably my favorite of the two Sourtooths.
Drank 16 oz of Elevated IPA by La Cumbre (2017-09-29)October 27th, 2017
Drank 650 ml of Double Double Barrel Ale by Firestone Walker Brewing Co. (2012)August 19th, 2017
2017-08-19
Started with this one; about what I remember, lots of malt but a nice bitterness to back up the style, at least relative to some of the other English styles on pour for the evening.
2012-12-28
Quite malty! Notes of molasses, candy, moderate carbonation, mild booziness. Should do well with aging.
Drank 650 ml of Double Double Barrel Ale by Firestone Walker Brewing Co. (2013)August 19th, 2017

Smoooooth. Tiniest bit of alcohol heat on the finish, tons of toffee and molasses, along with a hint of vanilla, on the palate. Delicious, much better than I remember the 2012 being.
