Drank 650 ml of Parabola by Firestone Walker Brewing Co. (2014)August 19th, 2017

The bottle I didn't realize I had! Was great, a nice midpoint age-wise, tasting great with a bit more chocolate and malt character.
2016-12-03
The best of the evening, delicious as always.
2014-04-09
Great, not much booze at all with lots of coffee and some caramel this time as we'll. Delicous.
Drank 12 oz of Parabola by Firestone Walker Brewing Co. (2017)August 19th, 2017

Lots of licorice in the nose but not too much on the palate, still a bit of heat even when cold, chocolate, molasses, and toffee notes as well. Tasting good, though I think some age really does help Parabola.
Drank 650 ml of §ucaba by Firestone Walker Brewing Co. (2013)August 19th, 2017
2017-08-19
Tasting pretty good! A nice example of a similar but distinct style to the DDBAs, with a lot more malt character and that barleywine finish.

Straightforward and tasty, nothing too exciting but a very solid barleywine that avoids the cloying sweetness that overcome some others.

Drank 650 ml of Velvet Merkin by Firestone Walker Brewing Co. (2013)August 19th, 2017
2017-08-19
I think this is the only one I had a pour of, but it's tasting great! I was worried it might not age well, but it held up great. May also have been enjoyable because of the comparatively lower ABV.

Tasting good, a bit lighter than expected, hides the booze entirely, some nuttiness and some oatmeal definitely present, a delicious brew.
2013-10-15
Makes the wife a happy wife ;-) Awesome nose, lots of vanilla and maybe a hint of coconut, super smooth on the palate with a perfect balance of maltiness and oak characteristic, cut nicely by the oatmeal. Firestone knows how to make a delicious stout.

A little thinner than I remember, but quite tasty, thickens up a bit as it warms. Some oatmeal, some coffee, and some great toffee notes too.

Had a tiny taste; was great, love the mellowness.

Not bad! Pretty straightforward, nice brett character with a little sweetness and some grain. Tasty.

Drank 12 oz of Single Double Tripel by Windmill Brewing (2017)July 19th, 2017

Smelled pretty hoppy coming out of the can, but pretty malty overall, not more than mediocre. Probably should have drank this one fresher.
Drank 750 ml of Nonna's Blend #12 by Sante Adairius Rustic Ales (2016-11)July 16th, 2017

Really delightful and simple sour. Spices come through nicely in the nose, and add a bit of sharpness to the approachable tartness on the palate. Delicious.
