Drank 12 oz of Expedition Stout by Bell's Brewery, Inc. (2015-10-16) | March 29th, 2016 |
2020-03-14 Still fantastic. No drop-off but my preference center's around the three year mark. Barrel-aged is great but not what I want all the time. Perfect with beef stew.
2018-07-23 Nearly 3 years old and this is in it's prime.
2016-10-19 Yep, this is my definition of Russian Imperial Stout.
Drank 22 oz of Crimson Snapper by Pipeworks Brewing Company (2016) | March 27th, 2016 |
2016-03-27 Pretty good. A nice IIPA with some body. Great palate cleanser with pizza. Smells a lot more resiny than it tastes. Not terrific, though, Citra Ninja is the best I've had from Pipeworks.
Drank 12 oz of Louie's Reserve Scotch Ale by Lake Louie Brewing (2015) | March 27th, 2016 |
Drank 16 oz of Lizard King by Pipeworks Brewing Company (2016-03-09) | March 26th, 2016 |
Drank 12 oz of Old Stock Ale 2012 by North Coast Brewing Co. | March 26th, 2016 |
2018-03-14 This is what I remember, the 2016 is weak by comparison.
2016-03-26 Still surprisingly carbonated. Dried fruit flavors are even more intense than the 2014 but not overwhelming.
Drank 12 oz of Old Stock Ale 2014 by North Coast Brewing Co. | March 25th, 2016 |
2016-03-25 So, so good. Not sure I want to let it age much more, though. Can't wait to test out the 2012.
Drank 25 oz of Serendipity by New Glarus Brewing Company | March 21st, 2016 |
2018-01-31 Very heavy on the apple from the Teku glass.
2016-05-19 Blows me away, every time. The wrong food pairing can wreck this beer, though. First glass was amazing. After a salad with vinegar mustard dressing, all I could taste was the apples and a little cherry tart and cranberry sour.
Drank 16 oz of Lizard King by Pipeworks Brewing Company (2016-03-09) | March 18th, 2016 |
Drank 12 oz of Wulver by Thirsty Dog Brewing (2015) | March 18th, 2016 |
2018-02-06 Yeah. Well past it's prime. All the same flavors are there but it's messed up now. About a year of aging seems right. Don't sit on this one for too long.
2016-05-15 Amazing this time. Humongous barrel character. Incredible vanilla. This time was as good as any other BB scotch ale I've had. They're crazy to say 43 degrees, though. Doesn't come alive below 55.
2015-12-31 CAUTION, GUSHER!!! A bit thin but plenty of depth. Ignore suggestion to drink at 43 degrees. Heavy whiskey flavor. 11 months in the barrel can do that. Could mellow out with some time.
Drank 22 oz of 2016 Old Guardian Barley Wine Dry-Hopped with Pekko Hops by Stone Brewing (2016-02-08) | March 17th, 2016 |
Drank 16 oz of Lizard King by Pipeworks Brewing Company (2016-03-09) | March 17th, 2016 |
Drank 12 oz of Blackout Stout by Great Lakes Brewing (2015-11-05) | March 15th, 2016 |
2016-02-08 A little disappointed, not quite what I wanted from an RIS. Kind of sweet, not completely black. Try chilled next time.
Drank 12 oz of Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout by North Coast Brewing Co. (2015) | March 14th, 2016 |
Drank 16 oz of Lizard King by Pipeworks Brewing Company (2016-03-09) | March 13th, 2016 |
Drank 22 oz of Outta Kilter Wee-Heavy Scotch Red Ale by Hoppin' Frog Brewery (2015) | March 12th, 2016 |
2016-03-12 Not that good. Old? |
