Yeah. Well past it's prime. All the same flavors are there but it's messed up now. About a year of aging seems right. Don't sit on this one for too long.

Amazing this time. Humongous barrel character. Incredible vanilla. This time was as good as any other BB scotch ale I've had. They're crazy to say 43 degrees, though. Doesn't come alive below 55.

CAUTION, GUSHER!!! A bit thin but plenty of depth. Ignore suggestion to drink at 43 degrees. Heavy whiskey flavor. 11 months in the barrel can do that. Could mellow out with some time.

I think it may not have been fully chilled last night. Lot's of fresh hops. Still not as bitter as I like but it's really drinkable.
2016-05-05
Not as potent as I expected. 9.4% drinks like 7%. Surprisingly subtle which isn't what I want for a $15 6-pack. Hit me in the face with those hops, please. I need to try the regular. I'd rather have the Ruination.

Past its prime by this point, less than 18 months old. Not much chocolate left. I get bitter coffee and molasses finish. I'll have a 2017 soon to compare. At 1 year old this was still nearly identical to the fresh batch.
2017-04-07
Smoother mouthfeel than the 2017 but coffee has dropped off significantly. I like the 2017 better already and I expect it to smooth out quickly as ot settles in the bottle.
Drank 12 oz of Thumbprint Cran-bic by New Glarus Brewing Company (2016-04-08)May 8th, 2016

Smoothed out perfectly. No hint of the acetone I noticed last year. Love everything about it.
2017-05-28
Plenty tart from the cranberries but the sour has mellowed. Acetone in the nose, which is unfortunate, but tastes amazing. So refreshing, too. Easy to gulp this down.

Just a terrific lambic. Rose red, and sparkles like champagne. Has all the classic marks of lambics but with an incredible amount of cranberry flavor. I don't know how Dan does it, but he adds huge fruit flavor without losing the beer-ness. Extremely refreshing and delicious. Surprised the ABV is as high as it is.
Drank 22 oz of Peanut Butter Milk Stout by Belching BeaverMay 7th, 2016

I love this beer. Very sweet but super drinkable. I have a hard time calling it a stout. The chocolate, milk, and peanut butter are all there. I like this better than Absence of Light.
