Drank 12 oz of Brewer's Reserve Bourbon Cherry Stout by Central Waters Brewing Company (2016-05-08) | June 3rd, 2016 |
2017-02-20 Really good. Definitely smoothed out after 9 months. The bourbon was more apparent than when fresh. Even got some chocolaty flavors in the background. Kind of a cherry cordial. Doesn't scratch a particular itch and that's a long time to wait for something that doesn't blow you away but it's not not worth it.
Drank 12 oz of Burton Baton by Dogfish Head Craft Brewery (2015-07-01) | June 2nd, 2016 |
2018-08-14 Holds up well after 3 years. Maybe better around 1.5 to 2.
2017-03-08 Kind of like a Belgian Strong Ale, candy sugar sweetness but with more malty depth. Some Dried fruit sweetness, as well. Carbonation is superb, incredibly delicate bubbles that give a velvety feel. It's probably not brewed to taste like this but by sheer coincidence is excellent as it ages.
2016-12-21 I need to try this one fresh because I really like it with some age on it. Would be interesting (and expensive) to compare.
Drank 12 oz of Scotty Karate by Dark Horse Brewing Co. (2015) | June 1st, 2016 |
Drank 22 oz of Funzino by Pipeworks Brewing Company | May 31st, 2016 |
2016-05-31 I've never regretted buying a Pipeworks IPA. This isn't among my favorite IPAs but it's still really delicious. All the Ninjas are going to be fresh, too.
2016-05-21 Dank and resinous. So bold and fresh, but not my favorite. Strong floral aromas not much citrus.
Drank 12 oz of Guinness Extra Stout by Guinness Ltd. (2016-01-14) | May 31st, 2016 |
Drank 12 oz of Hop Nosh Tangerine IPA by Uinta Brewing Company (2016-04-20) | May 30th, 2016 |
Drank 12 oz of Hop Nosh Tangerine IPA by Uinta Brewing Company (2016-04-20) | May 28th, 2016 |
Drank 22 oz of Lupine by Pipeworks Brewing Company | May 26th, 2016 |
2016-06-05 I didn't get pineapple this time but still a delightfully refreshing IPA. Not a palate wrecker like the Fish series.
2016-05-26 Pineapple, pineapple, pineapple! Straw colored, sweet smell, juicy pineapple flavor. Glad I have two.
Drank 750 ml of Squall IPA by Dogfish Head Craft Brewery (2016-02-24) | May 25th, 2016 |
2016-04-13 So balanced. Reminds me a lot of Avery's Maharaja, though not quite as much of a hop bomb. Very balanced, not particularly bitter. Lost of dregs in the last pour of the 750.
Drank 12 oz of Guinness Extra Stout by Guinness Ltd. (2016-01-14) | May 25th, 2016 |
Drank 12 oz of IPA by AleSmith Brewing Company (2016-03-30) | May 24th, 2016 |
Drank 12 oz of Zombie Dust by Three Floyds Brewing (2016-05-11) | May 24th, 2016 |
2016-05-22 Not nearly as bitter when drunk from my IPA glass. Amazing how much that changes the flavor. Not sure how they bill this as a Pale Ale instead of an IPA, though.
Drank 12 oz of Cassian Sunset by Central Waters Brewing Company (2016-04-05) | May 23rd, 2016 |
2017-03-22 Cinnamon and chocolate at cellar temp, not as smooth as I'd like, has a bit of a bite but very tasty. Bourbon rounded out the edges with some booze and really present in the aroma. I forgot this hat coffee in it until it warmed up and the coffee bitterness came out.
2016-05-23 Smells like hot chocolate at cellar temp. Vanilla and cinnamon come through as it warms.
2016-04-19 Unexpectedly thin mouthfeel. Tastes like ice cream at about 50 degrees. Changes tremendously as it warms. Cinnamon really comes to the fore. Not a strong bourbon presence and the coffee is pretty subtle, other than giving some bitterness at the end.
