Drank 16 oz of Bourbon County Reserve 150 Stout (2021) by Goose Island Beer Co. (2021-07-25) | December 31st, 2021 |
2022-09-24 This is still excellent. Incredibly rich and decadent, with a nice warmth from the barrel.
2022-04-17 Drinking this along with a sample of Old Forester 150, the same barrels this was aged in. What a pairing! Thanks Richard!!!
2021-12-31 This is the clear winner for the 2021 lineup. Sadly I never got to try the OF 150 bourbon this beer was aged in barrels of, but now I want to even more than before. Low carbonation, but depth of flavor. Tons of barrel. Enjoying it even more as it warms.
Drank 12 oz of Liquid Spiritual Delight with Coffee by 2nd Shift Brewery | December 28th, 2021 |
2021-12-28 Very strong coffee, tiny amount of bitterness, thin, not boozy. Good, not great.
Drank 12 oz of Underground Mountain Brown by Founders Brewing (2020-08-26) | December 26th, 2021 |
2024-09-29 Starting to lose a little something. Presented a little more bitterness than I remember. Probably best fresh.
Drank 16 oz of Proprietor's Bourbon County Brand Stout (2021) by Goose Island Beer Co. (2021-10-13) | December 23rd, 2021 |
2023-04-04 Still lots of strawberry. Subtle sweetness and chocolate. Held up well.
2021-12-23 Lots of strawberry on the nose. Subtle coconut flavor with a slight tartness from the strawberry. Also getting rich dark chocolate flavors along with the barrel. Much thinner mouthfeel than I expected, but you’re still left with stickiness at the end.
Drank 12 oz of Barrel Aged Coquito Stout by Blue Point Brewing | December 22nd, 2021 |
2021-12-22 I get everything in the description, the barrel, Toasted Coconut, Cinnamon, Nutmeg and Milk Sugar. I also get some dark chocolate. It’s a bit thinner than you’d expect, but it’s very interesting in a good way.
Drank 16 oz of Black Tuesday (2021) by The Bruery (2021-09-15) | December 20th, 2021 |
2021-12-20 The nose was a bit strange, but the flavor makes you think it’s an aged beer. There’s tons of chocolate on this one and the heat really lingers from the high ABV.
Drank 16 oz of Bourbon County Brand Fourteen Stout by Goose Island Beer Co. (2021-09-15) | December 18th, 2021 |
2021-12-18 Mouthful of cinnamon. Not really a huge fan of this one, sadly. The 2014 stands tall above this.

2019-10-27 Something’s not quite right about this one. Not infected, but it’s like all the malt dropped out and all that’s left is the booze. Weird...
2018-11-09 Still great after 3 years. Better than 2016/2017. More molasses; newer ones are thinner.
2018-01-22 Tasting great after 2 years of aging. Happy Birthday to me!
2016-12-01 Really great aged even only 1 year.

2017-11-26 Sadly not as good as 2016, which was not as good as 2015. This has an odd flavor profile and nose. Hoping my other bottles are better.
