Bourbon County Vertical 2022

More chocolate than orange now. Still good.

Definitely starting to show its age and the orange has changed a bit, but there’s plenty orange left and the base beer shines through beautifully.

Still tons of orange. Super dark, chocolatey, malty, and sticky on the lips. I hope they make this again someday.

Orange is still strong at the front. Holding up well.

This one seems to have lost a bit of carbonation and the Orange has faded a bit. I bought this one more recently so maybe not stored well.

Decent flavor profile, but too strong on the hops, no juiciness, and is thinner than I’d like. With so many beers in this style, this isn’t one I’d return to.

Light and refreshing. Nice flavor. Just a touch less bitterness would be great.

Velvety, coconut, and coffee with plenty of barrel. This is a special treat that I wish I could get more of.

So damn good. Coconut is subtle, but detectable and lingers on the finish. Very velvety mouthfeel - amazing. Lots of chocolate and coffee. Rich and decadent.

Really subtle but enjoyable flavors, soft mouthfeel, crushable. Would definitely buy again.

Sweet, boozy, and yummy.

Very rich and full bodied. Reminds me of Dogfish Head Raison d’extra a bit. Lots of roasty flavors. Sweetness from the rum barrel. Very good.

Very unique flavors. I totally get the cream cheese and it works well. Nice sweetness and velvety texture. This is a winner.

This is very good. Lots of bourbon, sweetness from the vanilla and chocolate, a hint of tartness from the cherries, thickness and sweetness from the molasses. Will have to get more of these.

Lots of dark chocolate and roasty malt with a hint of sweetness from the maple and booziness from the barrel.

Founders knocked it out of the park with this one. Loads of chocolate, very rich, no bitterness. Only a few sips in, but looking forward to seeing how it changes with some warmth.

This is still excellent. Incredibly rich and decadent, with a nice warmth from the barrel.

Drinking this along with a sample of Old Forester 150, the same barrels this was aged in. What a pairing! Thanks Richard!!!

This is the clear winner for the 2021 lineup. Sadly I never got to try the OF 150 bourbon this beer was aged in barrels of, but now I want to even more than before. Low carbonation, but depth of flavor. Tons of barrel. Enjoying it even more as it warms.

This hasn’t lost much of anything, save a little vanilla.

Don’t taste any coffee on this one any longer. The 2019 I had earlier was much better.

Good this year, though I’m less tolerant each year of the bitterness. If they reduced that, it would likely still be in my top 5.

Lots of chocolate. Cherry is subtle. On the thin side, but good flavor.

This is really holding up very well. Lots of barrel, smooth/silky mouthfeel, and lots of chocolate and roasted malt.

Has aged very well. Lots of dark, roasted malt and booziness.

Lots of dark chocolate and roasted malt. Thin for BC.

Put some cold brewed coffee in. yumm

Really good, smooth, boozy, rich and roasty.

Great fresh.

Too much bitterness for my liking and no juicy qualities.
