Drank 16 oz of Ninja vs Unicorn by Pipeworks Brewing Company (2020-06-16) | July 3rd, 2020 |
2020-07-09 The dry hopped this a lot more than previous batches, not entirely for the better. Still easy to drink a whole pint and I always prefer the 8% over the 8.5%.
Drank 330 ml of McEwan's Scotch Ale by Charles Wells Ltd. | July 2nd, 2020 |
2020-06-27 Slightly out of code but good. Has a nice Scotty Karate bite to it, a little Old Chub dirtyness, avoiding Dirty Bastard territory. And at 8% hits a spot I expect from a 10%er.
Drank 12 oz of Flywheel Pilsner Bier by Metropolitan Brewing (2020-04-10) | July 1st, 2020 |
2020-07-08 Has a nice bite, more agressive than Two Women but in the same vein. I prefer the Czech pilseners but this is a great instance of the German style. Met life, baby!
2020-07-06 Has a strong earthy hoppiness for a pilsner. Very satisfying. I still prefer the lighter Czech style.
Drank 12 oz of Mountain Standard by Odell Brewing (2020-05-19) | June 30th, 2020 |
2020-06-26 Pale yellow but bright, not dull. Tropical and lemon citrus in the nose. Has a strong cat urine quality in the flavor that makes me think of simcoe, although there's no simcoe in this beer. Wish it were more bitter but the flavor is satisfying. A nice lower ABV IPA, though I prefer Octopi Forest.

Drank 500 ml of Old Stock Cellar Reserve (Aged In Wheat Whiskey Barrels) by North Coast Brewing Co. (2015) | June 21st, 2020 |
2020-06-21 Fantastic. Creme brulee in spades. Vanilla and burnt caramel in the nose. More bitterness in the swallow, which keeps it from being cloying. For 14.5% I can drink a lot of this, surprisingly dry. Killer. My favorite barrel treatment for this series.
2019-01-05 Wow. This was fantastic. I was hesitant because it's wheat whiskey but so well balanced and integrated. I don't regret buying two. Very potent. Huge barrel character, and you can smell the whiskey but it drinks so smooth. No worries about taking an hour or two to finish, drinks just as well at room temperature.

Drank 12 oz of Kid Kölsch by New Glarus Brewing Company | June 14th, 2020 |
Drank 12 oz of Deth's Tar by Revolution Brewing LLC (2019-10-03) | June 13th, 2020 |
2020-10-30 Silky smooth.
2020-06-13 Half a can is just right.
2019-12-16 A bit too much. Only open this when you're ready and desirous of true decadence. Drips barrel, almost a licorice sweetness, rich. Could do with more bitterness and roast. |
