I really like this one. It's not as down the middle as Great Lakes, it has a more spicy nutty flavor. I have a hard time not comparing it to Staghorn. I definitely put this in my top tier now. Bonus points for sub 6%.

At first it seemed to finish really clean but towards the end I detected a residual flavor in my mouth, sort of a sour mash, maybe? Not sure how to describe it.

It's crisp and hoppy bitter but lacks the fruity notes I was promised. I wouldn't quibble if it were listed as just a pale ale but I expect more hop juice from an IPA.

Maybe if they just cranked up the maltiness while keeping the balance I would like this a lot more. It would up the ABV a bit but there's room for that at 5.3%.

It's OK. The carbonation is spot on for the style, nice and crisp. The color is really nice, a red/brown. But the flavor is just OK. It's super drinkable but doesn't do anything to distinguish itself and it's not particularly strong as an Oktoberfest. Nice, but just OK.

One of my favorites.

This jumps quickly to the top tier of Oktoberfests for me. The fact that it does this at 5.4% is even more impressive. Smells great. Lovely orange amber color, doesn't foam up impressively but that's the only disappointment. Pleasant toasty malts, not heavy or sweet. Eminently drinkable. Well done.
