Drank 12 oz of Oktoberfest by BuckleDown Brewing (2017-07-19) | September 4th, 2017 |
Drank 12 oz of Oktoberfest by Burnt City Brewing | September 4th, 2017 |
2017-09-05 Maybe if they just cranked up the maltiness while keeping the balance I would like this a lot more. It would up the ABV a bit but there's room for that at 5.3%.
2017-08-31 It's OK. The carbonation is spot on for the style, nice and crisp. The color is really nice, a red/brown. But the flavor is just OK. It's super drinkable but doesn't do anything to distinguish itself and it's not particularly strong as an Oktoberfest. Nice, but just OK.

Drank 16 oz of Oachkatzlschwoaf by Urban Chestnut Brewing Company (2017-07-24) | September 1st, 2017 |
2017-09-06 One of my favorites.
2017-09-01 This jumps quickly to the top tier of Oktoberfests for me. The fact that it does this at 5.4% is even more impressive. Smells great. Lovely orange amber color, doesn't foam up impressively but that's the only disappointment. Pleasant toasty malts, not heavy or sweet. Eminently drinkable. Well done.

Drank 12 oz of Oktoberfest by Great Lakes Brewing | August 29th, 2017 |
2017-08-28 Really satisfying. An excellent beer I wouldn't hesitate to recommend as a great Oktoberfest.
2017-08-25 Right down the middle for an Oktoberfest. It's incredibly drinkable, a little sweetness, a little maltiness. Less malty aroma. None of the generic lager flavor, which is a huge bonus. It's really very good. My only complaint is that I wish it had a little more of the bready malt flavor.

Drank 12 oz of Oktoberfest by Potosi Brewing Company | August 24th, 2017 |
2017-08-22 I wouldn't mind revisiting this on a yearly basis.
2017-08-17 I really enjoyed this one. Very light and subtle flavor played hard to get but seemed to reveal itself as I drained the glass. The classic toasty (but not burnt) malt was really well balanced. Great mouthfeel, although lacking on the nose. Kept it's lager-ness on the DL. My second favorite now, after Staghorn.

Drank 12 oz of Oktoberfest by Hinterland Brewery Restaurant | August 20th, 2017 |
2017-08-19 Why name your beer "Oktoberfest" if it isn't one? It's not bad. A little sticky, light maltyness, a little sour in the finish. I was expecting an Oktoberfest and this isn't one. But it's satisfying enough as a carmely lager.
Drank 12 oz of Octoberfest Lager by Central Waters Brewing Company (2017-06-13) | August 20th, 2017 |
2017-08-20 This is a lot crisper in the Spiegelau glass. A little less sweet. I think I like it better in the pilsener glass.
2017-08-10 Malty but sweet. When did this come out? 2 months isn't over the hill but do they release their Oktoberfest in June? Still, it goes down easy with a ritz cracker kind of character.
