Drank 750 ml of Gose by Cascade Brewing (2012) | January 9th, 2016 |
2016-01-09 Not a gose at all! Delicious though, super mellow sour profile for Cascade, drinkable and delicious.
Drank 750 ml of Life & Limb by Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. / Dogfish Head Craft Brewery (2011-07) | January 9th, 2016 |
2016-01-09 Not even sure what this is, but it was tasting great. Malt, bread in the backbone, a nice sipper.
Drank 500 ml of Old Rasputin XII Anniversary by North Coast Brewing Co. (2009) | January 9th, 2016 |
2016-01-09 Big, but not too much booze, amazing nose with toffee, chocolate, vanilla, digging it.
Drank 750 ml of Sourrento by The Bruery (2014-11-05) | January 9th, 2016 |
2016-01-09 Actually not terrible, but definitely a novelty beer, not sad it's the last one.
2015-01-08 Lots of vanilla in the nose and up front in the palate, then fades into basically a standard sour blonde. Didn't quite get what they were going for, but still not a bad beer, enjoyable.
Drank 750 ml of Toronado 25th Anniversary Ale by Russian River Brewing Company (2012) | January 9th, 2016 |
2016-01-09 That great Russian River profile, has aged quite well, a bit of fruit and some nice but accessible complexity.
Drank 750 ml of White Chocolate by The Bruery (2012) | January 9th, 2016 |
2016-01-09 Amazing, lighter than expected, awesome nose, so much vanilla, chocolate, and balanced sweetness. Wish I had more.
Drank 500 ml of Helldorado by Firestone Walker Brewing Co. (2015) | December 24th, 2015 |
2017-08-19 This one kicked surprisingly early and I didn't get a chance to try it. Shame!
2015-12-24 Tons of vanilla, a bit of bourbon, huge malt presence and quite sweet. A definite sipper, best split between four people probably.
Drank 750 ml of Abraxas by Perennial Artisan Ales (2014-11) | November 7th, 2015 |
2015-11-07 Amazing pepper on the nose, perfectly balanced on the tongue, an amazing stout with just the right amount of heat. Better fresher than aged at this point I think!
2015-01-23 Great! A lot less chocolate than Hunaphu, but a lot more chile on the back end, more of a cinnamon thing going on up front. Digging it.
Drank 750 ml of Odyssey by Allagash Brewing Company (2014-01) | November 7th, 2015 |
2015-11-07 Lots of oak, though less than when fresh, and lots of malt in a delicious Belgian-like dark blend. A crowd pleaser.
Drank 750 ml of Befuddlement by The Bruery (2014-07-03) | November 7th, 2015 |
2017-04-30 Only got a small taste, but still lots of fruit and a nice pucker.
2015-11-07 Big, thick, noticeable rye influence and a fairly subdued fruit character. Good, but not mind blowing.
2014-11-16 Super tart, great fruit on the back end, not at all boozy, delicious.
Drank 12 oz of Bourbon County Brand Barleywine by Goose Island Beer Co. (2014-09-24) | November 7th, 2015 |
2021-09-03 Held up OK. | |
2015-11-07 "This barley wine is gnarly wine" says Evan. Big, thick, some booze heat but pleasantly so, and a reduced candy profile from what I last remember.
2014-12-22 Not as much magic as last year but still quite tasty, nice malt character without being too sweet.
Drank 750 ml of Consigliere by The Rare Barrel (2014-03-21) | November 7th, 2015 |
2015-11-07 Not too tart but pretty tart, really straightforward, clean sour that Rare Barrel delivers on so well.
Drank 12 oz of Farmer's Reserve Citrus by Almanac Beer Co. (2014) | November 7th, 2015 |
2015-11-07 Fruit pretty much done, just tasted like a straightforward Almanac sour, so so.
2014-07-11 Tons of citrus, like orange juice in some ways, very tasty!
Drank 12 oz of Farmer's Reserve Blackberry by Almanac Beer Co. (2014-04) | November 7th, 2015 |
2015-11-07 A little more fruit than the Citrus, not bad.
2014-07-29 Delicious, tart up front with a solid fruit presence and a balanced mouthfeel and taste. Follows the typical Almanac profile, quite tasty.
Drank 12 oz of Valley of the Heart's Delight by Almanac Beer Co. (2013-02) | November 7th, 2015 |
2015-11-07 So much fruit has survived and this tasted amazing! Apricot most forward flavor, great mix with the sour notes, the clear Almanac winner.
2014-03-04 Another tartness bomb up front, with a great fruity nose and lingering notes of fruit and bready yeast on the palate. Similar yeast profile to the Sourdough Wild, but without the hopped floral character and with more citric bite. Tasty. |
