Drank 12 oz of Tweak (Bourbon Barrel) by Avery Brewing Company (2016-01-25) | January 16th, 2020 |
2020-05-03 Tons of chocolate. Not much coffee left. Boozy and good.
2018-09-08 Still super boozy. Celebrating my 2018 Infiniti Q50 Red Sport
2016-05-19 Wow. This blows KBS out of the water. I need to get more of this. Was hesitant because I hate Uncle Jacob, but this is great!
Drank 16 oz of Vermont Sticky Maple by The Bruery (2019-07-24) | January 11th, 2020 |
Drank 12 oz of Christmas Bomb by Prairie Artisan Ales (2017) | January 9th, 2020 |
2020-01-09 Lots of cinnamon and spice, along with bourbon and maybe even a little coffee. Not my favorite thing they make but still solid.
Drank 12 oz of Raspberry Truffale by Avery Brewing Company (2018-07-27) | January 5th, 2020 |
2020-01-05 Was full of a lot of brown chunks of something which I spooned out. Very raspberry forward. Don’t taste any barrel. Way too sweet.
Drank 12 oz of Oh! Fudge by Prairie Artisan Ales (2019) | January 5th, 2020 |
2020-01-05 To me this is like chocolate powder, smoke and sharpness. No part of this is good. This may be the first beer from them I don’t like. Drain pour - very disappointed.
Drank 16 oz of Bourbon County Brand Wheatwine (2019) by Goose Island Beer Co. (2019-09-08) | December 31st, 2019 |
2022-08-13 Been a few years since I’ve had one of these. It’s still pretty sweet, so it’s a slow sipper. Still has a lot of heat that’s leaves a warm sensation in the back of the throat. While I far prefer their Barleywine over this, it’s decent.
2019-12-31 All booze, very hot, sweet. Still shouldn’t be part of the Bourbon County series, imho.
Drank 12 oz of Prairie Noir by Prairie Artisan Ales (2019-11-11) | December 30th, 2019 |
2019-12-30 Lots of barrel without the harshness I expected from the whiskey. Bit of chocolate and malt on the finish.
Drank 12 oz of Vanilla Noir by Prairie Artisan Ales (2019-11-13) | December 23rd, 2019 |
2019-12-23 Vanilla to start, followed by sweetness from the barrel, then finished off with coffee. Really good.
Drank 16 oz of Reserve Rye Bourbon County Brand Stout by Goose Island Beer Co. (2019-09-02) | December 22nd, 2019 |
2021-12-12 Bourbon County Vertical 2021
Better than I remembered it being.
2019-12-22 Good, but I’m a little disappointed. I expected far more distinguishing characteristics, but it feels thinner and is slightly bitter.
Drank 16 oz of How Now Brown Cow w/ Peanut Butter, Coffee & Chocolate by Aslin Beer Company (2019) | December 20th, 2019 |
2020-05-02 Not loving this, still...
2019-12-20 Not bad, not great
Drank 16 oz of Purple Banana by Aslin Beer Company (2019) | December 20th, 2019 |
2019-12-20 I’ve had similar tasting beers. I couldn’t drink more than one at a time, but it’s pretty good. I get the peanut, but not the strawberry.
Drank 12 oz of KBS Espresso by Founders Brewing (2019-11-14) | December 17th, 2019 |
2020-05-08 Lots of dark coffee and malt. Overpowers the usual KBS flavors.
2019-12-17 The nose has some coffee, the taste seems like they used coffee during the brewing process instead of adding it. Bitter comes At the end.
Drank 16 oz of Bourbon County Brand Stout (2015) by Goose Island Beer Co. (2015-10-26) | December 8th, 2019 |
2023-12-10 Bourbon County Vertical 2023

2019-12-08 8 year vertical
2019-10-27 Something’s not quite right about this one. Not infected, but it’s like all the malt dropped out and all that’s left is the booze. Weird...
2018-11-09 Still great after 3 years. Better than 2016/2017. More molasses; newer ones are thinner.
2018-01-22 Tasting great after 2 years of aging. Happy Birthday to me!
2016-12-01 Really great aged even only 1 year.
Drank 16 oz of Bourbon County Brand Stout (2016) by Goose Island Beer Co. (2016-10-07) | December 8th, 2019 |
2023-12-10 Bourbon County Vertical 2023
2023-01-29 Starting to take on some aged characteristics, but not in a bad way.
2022-12-04 Bourbon County Vertical 2022
2022-04-07 This is really holding up very well. Lots of barrel, smooth/silky mouthfeel, and lots of chocolate and roasted malt.
2021-12-12 Bourbon County Vertical 2021
2020-12-05 Vertical 2020
2020-05-28 Has aged very well. Lots of dark, roasted malt and booziness.
2020-05-22 Lots of dark chocolate and roasted malt. Thin for BC.
2020-03-12 Put some cold brewed coffee in. yumm
2019-12-08 8 year vertical
2018-06-14 Really good, smooth, boozy, rich and roasty.
2016-12-01 Great fresh.

2022-12-04 Bourbon County Vertical 2022
2021-12-12 Bourbon County Vertical 2021
2020-05-24 Held up very well. Sweet, lots of dark chocolate, booziness, and roasted malt.
2019-12-08 8 year vertical
2017-11-26 Sadly not as good as 2016, which was not as good as 2015. This has an odd flavor profile and nose. Hoping my other bottles are better. |
