Sadly there’s not much left to this after 9 years. Just a hint of tartness from the cherries on the finish.

Reminded us of a barleywine. Aged pretty well over 11 years.

Loads of dark chocolate with a hint of coffee. Finish is roasted malt and lingering dark chocolate. Held up well.

Really interesting. Bold malty flavor, softened by the brandy and made slightly sharp by the whiskey. Sweetness from the figs and dates.

Still very sweet after 4 years. Same smokiness I tasted last year when I opened one. Nice roastiness on the finish.

Wow. Nice and boozy, sweetness from the bourbon and maple syrup. Nice dark malty finish and oh so smooth. Really good.

This is really holding up very well. Lots of barrel, smooth/silky mouthfeel, and lots of chocolate and roasted malt.

Really good, smooth, boozy, rich and roasty.

Great fresh.

This is a burst of coffee and tastes really good. The only negative is the bitterness that comes on the finish. Would love a BA version.

Bourbon County Vertical 2021 Still tons of vanilla.

Crazy amount of vanilla.

Each one I open has a varying amount of vanilla. This one is like chugging a bottle of vanilla extract; a bit heavy.

Vanilla is still very prominent. The original recipe comes in with rich chocolate and malt on the finish.

Oh wow it that a lot of vanilla that hits right away! Yum. Then the really dark malty, chocolatey flavor from the stout comes in, followed by the booziness of the bourbon barrels. Excellent!

Bourbon County Vertical 2022

More chocolate than orange now. Still good.

Definitely starting to show its age and the orange has changed a bit, but there’s plenty orange left and the base beer shines through beautifully.

Still tons of orange. Super dark, chocolatey, malty, and sticky on the lips. I hope they make this again someday.

This one seems to have lost a bit of carbonation and the Orange has faded a bit. I bought this one more recently so maybe not stored well.

Lots of sediment, but I guess it’s to be expected since it’s 5 months old. Not my favorite from them, but good.

The top of the bottle cracked when I opened it. Shards of glass everywhere, so couldn’t even try it, but doubt I would’ve liked it.

Been looking for this for years. Not what I expected, or perhaps not as good as the hype years ago. Thin, roasted malt heavy, little sweet.
