Starting to take on some aged characteristics, but not in a bad way.

This is really holding up very well. Lots of barrel, smooth/silky mouthfeel, and lots of chocolate and roasted malt.

Has aged very well. Lots of dark, roasted malt and booziness.

Lots of dark chocolate and roasted malt. Thin for BC.

Put some cold brewed coffee in. yumm

Really good, smooth, boozy, rich and roasty.

Great fresh.

Beer share at Mike’s. Was good, not great. Maple forward, not much of any coffee. Will age the other one a few years and see if it gets any better, but doubtful since it’s already been in the bottle 4 years.

Strange nose, very strong raisiny flavor with bourbon heat. A little too sweet, but not bad.

This was their off year. I will say while it wasn’t good overall, it seems to have held up to where it was back then. Still best fresh.

Either this was the off year or this didn’t hold up well. Flavors aren’t right. Maybe it will improve as it warms.

Wow. This blows KBS out of the water. I need to get more of this. Was hesitant because I hate Uncle Jacob, but this is great!

Lots of cinnamon and spice, along with bourbon and maybe even a little coffee. Not my favorite thing they make but still solid.

Was full of a lot of brown chunks of something which I spooned out. Very raspberry forward. Don’t taste any barrel. Way too sweet.

To me this is like chocolate powder, smoke and sharpness. No part of this is good. This may be the first beer from them I don’t like. Drain pour - very disappointed.

Been a few years since I’ve had one of these. It’s still pretty sweet, so it’s a slow sipper. Still has a lot of heat that’s leaves a warm sensation in the back of the throat. While I far prefer their Barleywine over this, it’s decent.

All booze, very hot, sweet. Still shouldn’t be part of the Bourbon County series, imho.

Lots of barrel without the harshness I expected from the whiskey. Bit of chocolate and malt on the finish.

Vanilla to start, followed by sweetness from the barrel, then finished off with coffee. Really good.
