Drank 12 oz of Bourbon Paradise by Prairie Artisan Ales (2019-11-22) | October 28th, 2020 |
2023-05-02 Holding up very well. Bourbon, vanilla and coconut sweetness, followed by barrel, dark chocolate and roasted malt.
2020-10-28 Not gettin much coconut, if any but the bourbon and roasted malt comes through and is boozy and full flavored.
2019-12-06 Really damn good. Tons of dark chocolate (slightly too bitter), nice smooth coconut & subtle vanilla finish, topped off with bourbon warmth.
Drank 16 oz of Bourbon County Brand Coffee Stout (2016) by Goose Island Beer Co. (2016-09-21) | October 18th, 2020 |
2024-02-11 Mmm, just as good as I remember with lots of flavorful coffee. Oh how I wish they’d make this exact recipe again. This one was stored very well and purchased recently from another BC enthusiast.
2022-11-20 Aroma is still on point. No carbonation left. Flavors have changed - it’s past it’s prime, but still good. Lots of dark chocolate on the finish with a touch of booziness. I hope they make this exact style again someday.
2020-10-18 Not exactly as I remember it, in that the coffee has faded a little and the dark chocolate from the base has amped up. Still fantastic, but best fresh. I hope Goose Island makes this again someday.
Drank 16 oz of Proprietor's Bourbon County Brand Stout (2018) by Goose Island Beer Co. (2018-10-09) | October 13th, 2020 |
2020-10-13 Lots of chocolate. Richness reminds me of 2015 Rare. Really awesome,
Drank 12 oz of Parabola by Firestone Walker Brewing Co. (2017) | October 12th, 2020 |
2017-12-22 Better than when I had it fresh this year. Still not as good as last year when they didn't contract brew.
2017-04-20 Very boozy. Nice roasted malt. A little on the hoppy side. Previous years were better, maybe due to this year's contract brew by Boulevard.
Drank 12 oz of Helldorado by Firestone Walker Brewing Co. (2017) | October 12th, 2020 |
2020-10-12 Very sweet, but in a good way. Thin but not in a bad way. Don’t taste the barrel and doesn’t seem like 12.8%.
Drank 25 oz of CBS (Canadian Breakfast Stout) by Founders Brewing (2017) | October 5th, 2020 |
2020-01-21 Beer share at Mike R’s. Really good, as usual
2017-12-01 Tastes just like KBS to me so far. Gonna let it warm a bit. So far not getting any maple syrup flavor
Drank 12 oz of Velvet Merkin by Firestone Walker Brewing Co. (2017) | October 5th, 2020 |
Drank 12 oz of KBS (Kentucky Breakfast Stout) by Founders Brewing (2019-02-13) | October 1st, 2020 |
2020-05-29 Really good. Lots of coffee at the front, followed by tons of dark chocolate. No loss of flavor after 1 year.
2020-05-06 Loads of dark chocolate with a hint of coffee. Finish is roasted malt and lingering dark chocolate. Held up well.
2019-03-16 Really good until the very end when bitterness sets in and becomes the only thing lingering on the palette.

2020-09-24 Definitely taste the wheat and orange. There’s a bit of a metallic taste that’s not pleasant. Lot of carbonation. Very light.

2018-12-15 Mmmm. Welcome back my old friend. This is the BC I fell in love with but haven’t had since 2014. Dark, malty, bourbony booziness. Yum |
