2016-06-13 I wouldn't mind drinking this one year-round.

Drank 650 ml of Big Bad Baptist by Epic Brewing Company (2015-09-10) | June 18th, 2016 |
2016-06-18 Not a huge whiskey presence. Lots of cocoa in the aroma. Lots of coffee in the taste, especially at cooler temps.

Drank 12 oz of Brewer's Reserve Bourbon Barrel Barleywine by Central Waters Brewing Company (2016-01-14) | June 13th, 2016 |
2018-03-22 This is insanely good. Pure dessert. Hops barely present compared to the 2017 at this point. Not sure how much to attribute to vintage vs. age.
2016-04-13 Drank a bottle with a dessert consisting of butterscotch pudding and homemade shortbread. Really brought out the "American" style. Hops were much more prevalent when consumed with sweeter foods. Still amazing every time.
2016-02-05 Best just below room temperature.
Drank 12 oz of Hopsoulution Ale by Bell's Brewery, Inc. (2016-05-06) | June 13th, 2016 |

Drank 12 oz of Backwoods Bastard by Founders Brewing (2015-10-06) | June 12th, 2016 |
2017-11-03 Still good, maybe not as balanced as it could be. Smokier, burnt caramel, enough bourbon but not a bomb. More barrel than bourbon.
2017-05-30 Lost about all the bourbon in the flavor. I expected it to be smoother by now but it's still quite boozy. Very sweet, in a good way, though.

Drank 12 oz of Brewer's Reserve Bourbon Barrel Stout by Central Waters Brewing Company (2015-11-17) | June 10th, 2016 |
2020-02-21 Cocoa powder. Held up better than the Scotch Ale, little bourbon left. Doesn't benefit from aging, though.
2017-07-23 Yes. | |
2016-11-22 Tried this next to the (very fresh) 2016 and there's no comparison. The 2015 is so mellow and rich and deep. Should be interesting to compare after another year.
2016-06-10 Yes. So much flavor. Doesn't have the rick, thick, bite of a RIS but so good. Lots of barrel character. Vanilla in the aroma, chocolate in the flavor. No need to buy Uncle Jacob's Stout anymore.
Drank 500 ml of R&D Golden Ale by New Glarus Brewing Company (2015-08-01) | June 9th, 2016 |
2018-03-20 Likely past its prime. Tasted soapy. Extremely carbonated which would be fine if it tasted better. My previous notes said refreshing and sour. This isn't either. Totally my fault for letting it sit almost 3 years.
2016-06-09 Very refreshing and drinkable. Very pale with lots of white head. After 10 months the Brett yeast is showing up with its unique brand of sour, although I haven't tasted a younger bottle for comparison. Reminds me of a saison in some ways. I'll let the other bottle sit for at least another few months.
Drank 12 oz of 90 Minute IPA by Dogfish Head Craft Brewery (2016-03-01) | June 8th, 2016 |
Drank 341 ml of Solstice d'été by Brasserie Dieu du Ciel (2015-05-08) | June 7th, 2016 |
2016-06-07 Very tart, no sweetness. A bit of sour but not much. Refreshing, not much different than a spritzer. Kind of defeats the purpose of drinking a beer, though. |
