Drank 750 ml of Reuze by The Bruery (2012) | March 6th, 2013 |
2013-03-06 Quite tart, almost no sweetness. Very low carbonation. Not bad.
Drank 750 ml of Das Wunderkind! Saison by Jester King Craft Brewery (2013) | March 5th, 2013 |
2013-08-16 Great tartness, love the tart/sweet balance, awesome beer.
2013-03-05 Light, medium funk, mild sweetness, crisp, some straw, quite delicious!
Drank 750 ml of Autumn Maple by The Bruery (2012) | March 2nd, 2013 |
2013-03-02 Sweet, yam in the nose but not too much on the palate. Interesting, but not a favorite.
2013-01-05 First one was sour! Accidentally soured batch, and second bottle likely affected as well. Lots of vinegar, not sure how I felt about this take on it.
Drank 500 ml of Fuller's Vintage Ale by Fuller's (2007) | March 1st, 2013 |
2013-03-01 Murky, sweet in the nose with some toffee, and on the tongue there are definite fig, currants, and a tiny bit of booziness in the finish. Awesome, really at a good spot now. (2007 Vintage)
Drank 750 ml of White Ale by Telegraph Brewing Company (2012) | February 28th, 2013 |
2013-02-28 Spices quite on the nose, but grows on you. Cami really liked it, so so for me, but not a bad beer.
Drank 750 ml of Scaldis Blond Ale Triple by Brasserie Dubuisson Fréres sprl (2012) | February 25th, 2013 |
2013-02-25 Lots of yeast, but light on the palate, some zest, some pleasant sweetness. Good triple.
Drank 375 ml of Ovila Abbey Quad with Plums by Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. (2013) | February 23rd, 2013 |
2014-04-12 Has held up quite well, though not as much fruit as I remember, which is to be expected. I do feel like the Westvelteren 12 holds up better.
2013-08-22 Tasty! Plums have faded a it, but still a solid Belgian quad.
2013-02-17 Dark fruit smokiness, delicious, lingering. Must get more!
Drank 330 ml of Trappist Westvleteren 12 by Brouwerij Westvleteren (2012) | February 23rd, 2013 |
2020-01-31 A little oxidized in the nose, but wow amazing on the palate, so much raisin and prune and fruit from the yeast alone. Very different than fresh but has held up really well.
2013-02-23 Delicious! Dark, roasted notes, mild fruit. Not sure I'd call it best beer in world, but damn good.
Drank 22 oz of Hopocalypse by Drake's Brewing Co. (2013) | February 21st, 2013 |
Drank 12 oz of Fred by Hair of the Dog Brewing Company (2012) | February 21st, 2013 |
2021-10-03 The non-flat batch, tasting pretty good! Lots of carb, lots of caramel and breadiness.
2015-03-08 Batch 88, this was the flat one. Flat and, well, flat. Not a bad taste profile though. Too bad.
2014-08-06 Carbonated, so not one of the bad bottles Pablo and I ran into, a little tangier than Adam, a little more overt malt presence. Still a great beer, more hop forward, Adam still the winner but this is tasty.
2013-02-21 Hoppier than Adam, a bit like a barleywine but with amazing balance, no more sweetness than needed. Tasty. (Batch 87)
Drank 750 ml of 30th Anniversary - Charlie, Fred And Ken's Bock by Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. (2010) | February 17th, 2013 |
2013-02-17 A little boozy, but has held up well for the style. Good beer.
Drank 375 ml of Ovila Abbey Quad with Plums by Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. (2013) | February 17th, 2013 |
Drank 330 ml of Westmalle Trappist Tripel by Brouwerij Westmalle (2012) | February 16th, 2013 |
2013-02-16 Still light and delicious
2013-01-07 Sweet, straightforward (in a good way), feels light but is strong! Great lighter tripel.
Drank 650 ml of Lips of Faith - La Folie by New Belgium Brewing (2013) | February 15th, 2013 |
2014-03-11 Flanders-like nose, but much more like a Consecration or other dark sour profile. A year hasn't hurt it at all, and possibly even enhanced the sour side of the beer.
2013-02-15 Heavy lacto, not much brown, pretty good.
Drank 650 ml of Black Xantus by Nectar Ales (2010) | February 15th, 2013 |
2014-09-22 Delicious, with some burnt caramel, still a good bit of coffee, and delicious notes of vanilla and oak. Dig this beer and has held up amazingly.
2013-02-15 Coffee notes come through, a little sharp, not much booziness, tasty! |
