Drank 750 ml of Houblon Chouffe Dobbelen IPA Tripel by Brasserie d'Achouffe (2012)January 8th, 2013
2012-12-29
Almost an "mmm" beer on the Cami scale, despite being a Belgian Tripel. Cannot reiterate how much yeast sediment there is in this beer, however; both tastings I've had issues getting the last inch or so off the bottom due to yeast.

Delicious! Belgian hoppiness well balanced with mild malt and slight, slight tartness.
Drank 650 ml of Evil Cousin by Heretic Brewing Company (2012)January 8th, 2013
2012-12-28
Hop forward, not much nose, otherwise not terribly notable, but not at all bad.
Drank 750 ml of Estate Homegrown Wet Hop Ale by Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. (2012)January 8th, 2013
2012-12-28
Mild IPA, grass like characteristics, definite mildness due to wet hopping.
Drank 650 ml of Double Jack by Firestone Walker Brewing Co. (2012)January 8th, 2013
2012-12-28
Pervasive hop character throughout, without biting bitterness. Noticeable pine, some mild citrus, and grapefruit. A good one!
Drank 750 ml of Buzzerkeley by Calicraft Brewing Co. (2012)January 8th, 2013
2012-12-28
Really tasty! Effervescent, champagne-like mouthfeel, with a pleasant sweetness and mild citrus notes.
Drank 750 ml of Horny Devil by AleSmith Brewing Company (2012)January 7th, 2013
2013-02-06
Citrus, fruity, delicious take on the Belgian strong. Would drink again.
Drank 750 ml of Speedway Stout by AleSmith Brewing Company (2012)January 7th, 2013
2013-01-14
Dark, very little head. Lots of coffee notes, dark chocolate, smoke. Smooth for the strength too. Mostly coffee in the finish.
Drank 650 ml of Imperial Russian Stout by Stone Brewing (2012)January 7th, 2013
2014-09-21
Tasty, age brings out some of the raisin characteristics, overall mellow and drinkable.
2014-06-13
Still delicious, has held up really well, glad to have one more of these to drink, and should probably bring it up soon-ish.
2013-10-29
Still a good roast on the nose, a teensy bit of bite, and great ashen chocolate and sweet malt characteristics. This thing is pretty nice after a year.
2013-09-29
Quite tasty!
2013-01-14
Brownie in the nose, fun! Sweet and a little smoke, slight bitter on the finish. Tasty.
Drank 750 ml of Fantôme Saison by Brasserie Fantôme (2012)December 31st, 2012
2013-01-30
Musty nose, hint of sweetness at front but cedes to mustiness and funk on the finish. Not a favorite, not enough saison character.
Drank 330 ml of 't Smisje Kerst by Brouwerij Smisje (2012)December 30th, 2012
2013-01-15
Big raisin smell, dried fruit. Sort of a crunchy mouthfeel.. kind of weird. A little bizarre, not really digging it.
Drank 12 oz of Saison du Buff by Stone Brewing (2012)December 30th, 2012
2013-01-16
Super herby. Some saison sweetness, but herbs mostly. Middling, don't need to get more.
Drank 650 ml of Victory at Sea Imperial Porter by Ballast Point Brewing Company (2012)December 29th, 2012
2013-07-05
Sharper than I remember, but all the component flavors are beautifully featured. A great porter.
2013-01-27
Delicious vanilla character, smooth, and sweet. Really enjoyable.
Drank 750 ml of Smoking Wood by The Bruery (2012)December 29th, 2012
2014-06-05
Not very good, the smoke turned more to a slight tartness, and the barrel aging hasn't held up.
2013-01-09
Smoky! Big rye in the nose, less in the taste, some mild porter/stout notes, and otherwise smokiness. Oh the smokiness. Heavy on the finish, like the Lagavulin of beers.
Drank 330 ml of Pannepot by De Struise Brouwers (2011)December 28th, 2012
2013-04-04
So much delicious fruit in the nose. Dark, sweet, and some yeast in the pour. Sweet, well carbonated, molasses, plums. Delicious.
2013-01-12
Smooooth. Some brown sugar, some bread, some currants, almost no alcohol heat. Delicious!
Drank 750 ml of Oud Beersel Oude Geuze Vieille by Brouwerij Oud Beersel (2012)December 17th, 2012
2013-01-17
Tart! A good funk without being overly sour, no sweetness.
