Drank 16 oz of Abuse of Powder - Cashmere by Destination Unknown Beer Company (2020-11-12) | February 24th, 2021 |
2021-11-07 Better than I remember. Have to get more of this.
2021-02-24 Very light, nice flavor. Would buy again.
Drank 16 oz of Bourbon County Brand Northwoods Stout by Goose Island Beer Co. (2017-08-10) | February 24th, 2021 |
2022-12-04 Bourbon County Vertical 2022
2021-02-24 Tasted very different from fresh and has lost a little something. The base is shining through the blueberry and almond.
Drank 16 oz of Bourbon County Brand Stout (2017) by Goose Island Beer Co. (2017-07-28) | February 20th, 2021 |

2021-12-12 Bourbon County Vertical 2021
2020-05-24 Held up very well. Sweet, lots of dark chocolate, booziness, and roasted malt.
2019-12-08 8 year vertical
2017-11-26 Sadly not as good as 2016, which was not as good as 2015. This has an odd flavor profile and nose. Hoping my other bottles are better.
Drank 12 oz of Panther Cub by Founders Brewing (2021-01-28) | February 19th, 2021 |
2022-03-24 Nice flavor up front, but the sweetness fades into bitterness. Very thin. Wouldn’t buy again.
2021-02-19 The only thing that says porter to me is that it’s thin. Besides that, it’s got many things I love in a barrel aged stout. While I like Underground Mountain Brown better (as a BA stout alt), this is one of the best porters I’ve had.
Drank 16 oz of Bourbon County Brand Stout (2016) by Goose Island Beer Co. (2016-10-07) | February 14th, 2021 |
2023-12-10 Bourbon County Vertical 2023
2023-01-29 Starting to take on some aged characteristics, but not in a bad way.
2022-12-04 Bourbon County Vertical 2022
2022-04-07 This is really holding up very well. Lots of barrel, smooth/silky mouthfeel, and lots of chocolate and roasted malt.
2021-12-12 Bourbon County Vertical 2021
2020-12-05 Vertical 2020
2020-05-28 Has aged very well. Lots of dark, roasted malt and booziness.
2020-05-22 Lots of dark chocolate and roasted malt. Thin for BC.
2020-03-12 Put some cold brewed coffee in. yumm
2019-12-08 8 year vertical
2018-06-14 Really good, smooth, boozy, rich and roasty.
2016-12-01 Great fresh.
Drank 12 oz of KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge (2020) by Founders Brewing (2020-10-14) | February 12th, 2021 |
2022-04-21 Lots of dark chocolate and roasty malt with a hint of sweetness from the maple and booziness from the barrel.
2020-10-31 Founders knocked it out of the park with this one. Loads of chocolate, very rich, no bitterness. Only a few sips in, but looking forward to seeing how it changes with some warmth.
Drank 16 oz of Bourbon County Brand Stout (2018) by Goose Island Beer Co. (2018-10-04) | February 7th, 2021 |
2023-12-10 Bourbon County Vertical 2023

2021-12-12 Bourbon County Vertical 2021
2021-02-07 Super smooth, complex, boozy, chocolatey, and delicious. Left it a bit warmer than usual and that allows the flavors I love to shine right away.
2020-12-05 Vertical 2020
2020-05-30 Very dark, lots of dark chocolate and sweetness. I think this one was best fresh.
2019-12-08 8 year vertical
2018-12-15 Mmmm. Welcome back my old friend. This is the BC I fell in love with but haven’t had since 2014. Dark, malty, bourbony booziness. Yum
Drank 16 oz of Bourbon County Brand Coffee Stout (2017) by Goose Island Beer Co. (2017-07-25) | February 6th, 2021 |
2024-11-23 Still plenty of coffee in this beer. Very dark, bold flavors. It’s starting to show its age a little, but still very good.
2024-08-01 Still holding up very well. Ton of coffee still in there and flavors haven’t faded much, but a slight bit of age is detectable. Cheers to you Gram…you will be missed. We love you.
2020-12-30 This actually seems better now than when it was fresh. I’m not getting the bitterness that bothered me about this year, due to the espresso coffee used. Goose Island needs to return to this coffee style...keep it simple!
2017-11-26 Good, but the last 2 years were amazing. Getting too much bitterness. Wouldn’t have used espresso roast for this. Disappointed...
Drank 16 oz of Ten Fidy - Bourbon Barrel-Aged by Oskar Blues Brewery (2018-11-14) | January 29th, 2021 |
Drank 12 oz of Chocolate Cherry Stout - Limited Release (2020) by Firestone Walker Brewing Co. (2020-10-09) | January 26th, 2021 |
2020-12-13 Lots of chocolate. Cherry is subtle. On the thin side, but good flavor.
Drank 16 oz of How Now Brown Cow w/ Peanut Butter, Coffee & Chocolate by Aslin Beer Company (2019) | January 25th, 2021 |
2020-05-02 Not loving this, still...
2019-12-20 Not bad, not great
Drank 16 oz of Mystery by Goose Island Beer Co. (2020-10-30) | January 24th, 2021 |
2021-01-24 I was hoping for something along the lines of the 2014 Prop with coconut. Sadly this isn’t really like that at all. I do taste coconut-like flavors, but not as pleasantly, and very subtle. The base is a very bold BA stout & sweet. Good, but wouldn’t buy.
Drank 16 oz of Bourbon County Brand Stout (2018) by Goose Island Beer Co. (2018-10-04) | January 21st, 2021 |
2023-12-10 Bourbon County Vertical 2023

2018-12-15 Mmmm. Welcome back my old friend. This is the BC I fell in love with but haven’t had since 2014. Dark, malty, bourbony booziness. Yum
Drank 12 oz of Cassian Sunset by Central Waters Brewing Company (2016) | January 19th, 2021 |
2021-01-19 Can definitely taste the age on it. Getting chocolate, coffee and cinnamon notes. Dark chocolate lingers long afterwards.
2020-05-10 This has lost a lot of its original character in 4 years. A bit of coffee, malt and a subtle cinnamon finish. Will have to try a 2018 for comparison.
2016-10-25 Yum | |
Drank 12 oz of Pump[KY]n by Avery Brewing Company (2014-09-12) | January 17th, 2021 |
2021-01-17 Getting way more pumpkin in this than when it was fresh, which is crazy. Definitely showing it’s age, but not in a bad way.
2019-10-20 Very boozy. Lots of sediment firmly suspended. Sweeter than I remember.
2017-11-19 Stood up very well after 3 years. |
