Drank 12 oz of Komodo Dragon Fly Black IPA by Upland Brewing | July 9th, 2015 |
2015-07-09 Komodo Dragonfly smells strongly of citrus and grass with hints of toasted grains. The hops flavor is subdued and slightly over powered by the toasted, nearly burnt, grains. Along with the citrus and grass flavors of the hops there is a faint hint of mint that seems to come through every third sip or so.
Drank 22 oz of Stone Enjoy By 07.04.14 IPA by Stone Brewing | June 27th, 2015 |
2015-06-27 This is a complex IPA. Large gulps taste of caramel and oranges with a floral hint. Smaller, contemplative, sips reveal a resinous bitterness. Being that I do not like this bitterness I guess its big gulps for me.
Drank 12 oz of American IPA by Saint Louis Brewery / Schlafly Tap Room | June 26th, 2015 |
2015-06-26 Pours a decent amber color with an average off-white head. American IPA has a good nose full of citrus and pine. Orange, lemon and caramel can be discerned on the tongue and there is a lingering bitterness which is reminiscent of pine.
Drank 12 oz of Schlafly Kölsch by Saint Louis Brewery / Schlafy Tap Room | June 18th, 2015 |
2015-06-18 Schlafly Kolsch is a crisp, grassy and floral beer with a slightly earthy nose.
Drank 12 oz of 80-Acre Hoppy Wheat by Boulevard Brewing Company | June 15th, 2015 |
2015-06-15 The aroma of orange-y hops smacks your face at the first sniff followed by a slight wheat aroma. The orange hops essence also leads a gentle assault, if that’s a thing, on your tongue and is again supported by a slight wheat presence. 80-Acre may be the perfect beer for hot summer days. It is so clean and simple that it reminds me that sometimes the most basic beers can be the most refreshing.
Drank 16 oz of Brett Is My Copilot by Fifty West Brewing Company | June 7th, 2015 |
2015-06-07 Brett is My CoPilot will make you pucker. The brett has transformed this beer into a super sour lemon-lime soda with the added addition of alcohol. This is a good sour beer in my opinion.
Drank 12 oz of Citra High by MadTree | June 5th, 2015 |
2015-06-05 The hops strike from the minute the can is cracked. Citra High is citrusy on the tongue and nose with under-lying resin and caramel. Alcohol brings itself to the forefront as the beer warms up.
Drank 12 oz of Breakfast Stout by Founders Brewing | June 1st, 2015 |
2015-06-01 This is a malty and boozey beer. Breakfast Stout is roasty and very smooth with coffee, dark chocolate, espresso and vanilla notes to back it up.
Drank 12 oz of Grapefruit Sculpin by Ballast Point Brewing Company | May 23rd, 2015 |
2015-04-28 This was so fruity! It has additional juice added to it but that addition is making me reconsider IPAs. Given a choice I like Galaxy High.

Drank 12 oz of Gumball Head by Three Floyds Brewing | May 23rd, 2015 |
2015-02-15 This is a light, crisp wheat beer that is heavy on the lemony hops.
Drank 12 oz of Galaxy High by MadTree | May 23rd, 2015 |
2015-04-20 So much citrus hops! It reeks of grapefruit but is backed up by sweet caramel and honey like malts. The bitterness does not linger but a frutiness does which is a huge win in my books.

Drank 12 oz of Boulevard Pale Ale by Boulevard Brewing Company | May 21st, 2015 |
2015-05-21 This was a boring middle of the road beer. Middle flavor, little scent, mild impression.
Drank 12 oz of Troegenator Double Bock by Troegs Brewing | May 16th, 2015 |
2015-05-16 Troegenator coats the mouth with the thick flavor of dark fruits (plum, prune) and bread dough. There is a faint herbal quality from the hops and a lingering honey note. It pours a ruby hue with a khaki head. |
