Drank 22 oz of Apocalypse Cow by Three Floyds BrewingAugust 9th, 2015
2015-08-09
Apocalypse Cow is big fat, sweet beer, from the addition of lactose, but its got citrus and orange hops bones to back up that heft. As the beer warms the alcohol content becomes apparent but otherwise the 11% disappears.
Drank 12 oz of Rosa Hibiscus Ale by Revolution Brewing LLCAugust 5th, 2015
2015-08-05
I was excited for Rosa, it was a new beer style and a new brewer to me. Based on its color I expected something akin to a light red wine and I thought there would be a flavor and mouth feel that coated the mouth and built with each sip. Unfortunately I was disappointed and the flavor peaked just short of something special with its slight floral and herbal presence. I will end this by saying that as the beer has warmed while I have typed this post the viscosity that I was looking for has developed. I think I have another can of this around, if so I will let it warm a little before I start in on it.
Drank 12 oz of Gumball Head by Three Floyds BrewingJuly 31st, 2015

This is a light, crisp wheat beer that is heavy on the lemony hops.
Drank 12 oz of Skinny Dip by New Belgium BrewingJuly 30th, 2015
2015-07-30
I would like to preface the following statement with the fact that my bottle was 2 days beyond the drink by date on the label so... you know... whatever. New Belgium has disappointed me with Skinny Dip. It tasted mainly of grainy malts backed up with some honey notes. Behind that there are a few notes of orange and maybe some peach and definitely some cardboard. It reminds me of some of the other American lagers that craft breweries try so hard to distance themselves from.
Drank 12 oz of Grapefruit Sculpin by Ballast Point Brewing CompanyJuly 26th, 2015
2015-04-28
This was so fruity! It has additional juice added to it but that addition is making me reconsider IPAs. Given a choice I like Galaxy High.

Drank 12 oz of Citra High by MadTreeJuly 26th, 2015
2015-06-05
The hops strike from the minute the can is cracked. Citra High is citrusy on the tongue and nose with under-lying resin and caramel. Alcohol brings itself to the forefront as the beer warms up.
Drank 12 oz of Pop-Up Session IPA by Boulevard Brewing CompanyJuly 26th, 2015
2015-07-26
This is a light bodied, crisp summer beer. The malts taste of hay and straw and there is a grass character to the hops to back those flavors up. Lemon and undefined citrus notes round out this refreshing beer.
Drank 25 oz of Ojos Negros by Rivertown Brewing CompanyJuly 18th, 2015
2015-07-18
I was so dissapointed by Ojos Negros. I had been talking this up to my wife for a while now and wanted to share it with her. Sadly she took one sip and was done. I was hoping for something similar to Liefman’s Cuvee-Brut where the beer was tart but fruity with decent carbonation. Instead, Ojos Negros is flat, dry, and sour sans fruit. Perhaps I aged the bottle too long or maybe my expectations were wrong.
Drank 12 oz of Hamm's by Hamm's Brewing Co.July 16th, 2015
2015-04-19
Opa and oma gave me this after I enjoyed it at their home. The flavor is a bit sweet but is otherwise balanced. Tastes of cereal, cookies, and grass.
Drank 12 oz of Witte by Brewery OmmegangJuly 15th, 2015
Drank 12 oz of Jinx Proof by Three Floyds BrewingJuly 11th, 2015
2015-07-11
While I find many lager to be rather bland this one was quite tasty. Jinx Proof was heavy with barley, straw and wheat note which were balanced with herbal hops notes and a certain doughiness from the yeast.
Drank 22 oz of Game of Thrones: Three-Eyed Raven by Brewery OmmegangJuly 11th, 2015
2015-07-11
This was a complex beer. Three Eyed Raven hints at citrus, and spices both of which may or may not be the result of yeast. Wheat is noticeable as well. The nose on this beautiful beer is all spices.
