Drank 22 oz of CAUTION! CONTAINS REAL PUMPKIN!!! by Voodoo Brewing Co.,LLCOctober 31st, 2015
2015-10-31
Caution! Contains Real Pumpkin!!! is a boozy delight and I came in to this really skeptical. See I really hate everything pumpkin related so when I received this bottle I thought “oh great here we go.” Let me tell you, in C!CRP!!! the pumpkin is so subdued that it is negligible. Bourbon smacks you the minute you take a sniff followed by a warm inviting vanilla under tone. On the tongue bourbon leads the way followed by vanilla, barley, cinnamon, and finally pumpkin. Overall this was a great Halloween treat!
Drank 22 oz of Saber Tooth Tiger by Rhinegeist BreweryOctober 24th, 2015
2015-10-24
Saber Tooth is a mean kitty. It leads with a resinous nose which follows through to the taste. In the mouth a nondescript citrus note, from the hops, along with slight malt flavors and the alcoholic backbone make themselves apparent, especially as the beer warms. I must say that I did not taste the mango and other jungle fruits described on Saber Tooth Tiger’s label but it is still a tasty treat.

Drank 22 oz of Blushing Monk by Founders BrewingSeptember 17th, 2015
2015-09-17
Elizabeth said Blushing Monk reminded her of a raspberry soda with some alcohol mixed in. I tend to agree except I felt it was very think and syrupy.

Drank 330 ml of Saison Vielle Provision by Brasserie DupontAugust 29th, 2015
2015-09-06
So much has been said about Brasserie Dupont and though this beer was good I hate to say that it did not live up to the hype. The funk was strong with Vielle Provision. It tasted of straw and grains, citrus herbs and flowers and again the barnyard funk was everywhere. Unfortunately some of the funk tasted of soap and that is just a character in beer that I cannot abide. I believe that that is why I was less that thrilled with Vielle Provision.
Drank 12 oz of Curmudgeon by Founders BrewingAugust 28th, 2015
2015-09-06
Curmudgeon is a boozy thick beer and that becomes ever more apparent as it warms. At first its smooth and tastes of caramel and toffee with hints of molasses. As it warms slight vanilla and oak notes begin to hide behind the alcohol. I have three more bottles that I plan on cracking open every three months to see if anything changes.
Drank 12 oz of Jinx Proof by Three Floyds BrewingAugust 22nd, 2015
2015-07-11
While I find many lager to be rather bland this one was quite tasty. Jinx Proof was heavy with barley, straw and wheat note which were balanced with herbal hops notes and a certain doughiness from the yeast.
Drank 22 oz of Citra Ass Down! by Against The Grain Brewery & SmokehouseAugust 22nd, 2015
2015-08-22
Citra Ass has more hops presence than you would think from its 68 IBUs. Right off the bat it tastes of grapefruit and other citrus fruits and that flavor follows through the swallow. There is no lingering bitterness in Citra Ass. As the glass warms the presence of hay and cereal becomes apparent from the grains.
Drank 22 oz of Xocoveza by Stone BrewingAugust 9th, 2015
2015-08-09
Xocoveza hits you in the nose with peppers, vanilla and mocha cafe. Those same flavors follow through in the same order with a faint herbal presence that maybe from the peppers or the hops, its hard to tell. Though this was a beautiful beer to behold and taste I will not be seeking out the new renditions of Xocoveza, unless fate leads me too one, like it did this first bottle.
