Less burnt bite than I remember but doesn't have a lot of flavor. I'm a little annoyed I bought this one again, thinking I hadn't tried it last year. I'd be less put out if it was terrific but it's just OK. Which is to say I like it fine, but I'd rather have something else.

It's well balanced and refreshing. Never disappoints. What doesn't Revolution do well?

They pretty much nailed this one. Maple is there. Nutty, dry bitterness is there from the old ale. Light on the bourbon, no big deal. A dessert beer for sure, very sweet. But good for the right situation/mood.

These are all fun. This one is simpler than some. Really good, again. The cayenne was just enough to give a little extra sensation on the tongue. Not enough to burn, could be mistaken for too much carbonation. Lingered after I finished, though. Chocoporter. And I'm not complaining. Didn't pick up the cinnamon at all.

Like bourbon soaked cocoa powder. As good as I've ever had it.

It's nearly perfect. I wouldn't mind a little more viscosity but no complaints other than that. If it's truly 9.5% this is a marvel. And much better than the other 2016 batch. I can't remember which one I gave to Jen, I hope it was this one.

Wow. Chocolate much? So much richer than when fresh. Bourbon has mellowed a bit but more chocolate roast. Very, very nice.

Shared 3 ways, we each had a small pour. Drank with berries and cookies. I noticed more coffee flavors than I ever have with this brew. Holds up well against competing sour and sweet flavors. Best on its own, though.

Two to three years is the sweet spot for this. Velvety smooth, thick as oil, slight sweetness, perfectly balanced bitterness, rich malt depth. The only neg is the low carb, it almost drinks like a liquor.

Whoa, is something wrong with this batch? Tastes like overripe strawberries this time.
