Drank 750 ml of Silouhette - Barrel Aged by Lift Bridge Brewery (2017-01)December 22nd, 2018

Yep.

Less barrel than I remember on tap at the brewery. I'll be sure to try the next bottle fully chilled. But no residual sweetness, super chocolaty, rich and thick. This is super good stuff.

Don't buy anymore of these. It's fine for what it is but doesn't satisfy what I want from an IPA. Just get Anti-Hero.
Drank 12 oz of Brewer's Reserve Bourbon Barrel Scotch Ale by Central Waters Brewing Company (2018-06-26)December 12th, 2018

I missed recording a bottle of this somewhere.

Drank 275 ml of Harvest Ale (Calvados Cask) by JW Lees and Co. (Brewers) Ltd. (2017)December 10th, 2018

Really sweet, seems well integrated now compared to my previous notes. Exquisite, tiny, soft, foamy bubbles. Looks kind of gross, lots of suspended matter. A different approach to a barrel aged barleywine that my experience with American made examples of the style, and I don't mean the hoppier American style barleywine.

More cask on the nose than the tongue. Really nice, but probably needs some time to age. I liked the non-BA version even better but that was 2001 vintage so not a fair comparison.

Drank 12 oz of Curmudgeon's Better Half by Founders Brewing (2018-08-20)December 7th, 2018

They pretty much nailed this one. Maple is there. Nutty, dry bitterness is there from the old ale. Light on the bourbon, no big deal. A dessert beer for sure, very sweet. But good for the right situation/mood.
Drank 275 ml of Harvest Ale 2001 by JW Lees and Co. (Brewers) Ltd. (2001)December 7th, 2018

This bottle maybe not as perfect but still an amazing feat to put out a beer that's still good after 19 years. Prune, date, molasses, burnt caramel. More oxidation this time.

Phenomenal. Incredibly sweet. Like raisin juice, but delicious. Barely carbonated. Smells amazing, too. As soon as I opened the bottle I got hit with waves of sweet sticky aroma. Very expensive but easier to justify the price.

Drank 12 oz of Brewer's Reserve Bourbon Barrel Stout by Central Waters Brewing Company (2017-10-17)December 4th, 2018

Cocoa powder. Less bourbon than I remember from the other bottle, wouldn't mind a little more. It also needs another month, at least, to settle in the bottle. But maybe the best vintage that I can remember.

The 2016 took a few months to get this good. This one is ready to go out of the gate. Chocolate bomb on the nose and tongue. Some coffee at the backend, too. More than I remember in other vintages. This is simply great. Reaffirms that I don't _need_ any other barrel stout.
Drank 12 oz of Deth's Tar by Revolution Brewing LLC (2017-11-09)December 3rd, 2018

Don't drink fully chilled. I was worried until it warmed up a bit.

About what I expected. Which is to say, exceptionally good. In the same tier as BCBS. Massive barrel. High ABV. Started out roasty with too much carbonation, but quickly smoothed out as it warmed. Just a rich, thick dark, stout. More marshmallow /vanilla than chocolate. Not a fan of the cans for cellar life but I love the serving size.
