2019-11-15 They pretty much nailed this one. Maple is there. Nutty, dry bitterness is there from the old ale. Light on the bourbon, no big deal. A dessert beer for sure, very sweet. But good for the right situation/mood. | |

2019-02-21 It's pretty good and a surprising value at $12 for 6x16. Intensely floral hops, with a sweetness I don't attribute to the 8.5%. Wish it were at or below 8, especially for the pint format. If it were <=7.5% or 12oz cans I would definitely revisit. One plus is that they fly off the shelves and are replenished quickly enough that when you see it, it's almost guaranteed to be fresh. | |

2019-02-23 Little bit over carb'd but thicc and chocolatey. Settled down a bit as it warmed but lost intensity of flavor. It's nitpicking but the fact that there were discernible negatives is disappointing. I still love this beer. It's top shelf bbs but not my favorite bottle that I've had. | |

2018-11-19 Always fun to try fresh. Reaffirms that it's better after 6 months. More coffee roast when cold, not much bourbon. Burnt chocolate as it warms. Will be interesting to see if the 2018 just has more roast than past vintages. | |
