Still good, maybe not as balanced as it could be. Smokier, burnt caramel, enough bourbon but not a bomb. More barrel than bourbon.

Lost about all the bourbon in the flavor. I expected it to be smoother by now but it's still quite boozy. Very sweet, in a good way, though.

I like this one much better in the IPA glass vs. the chalice.
Drank 12 oz of Old Ruffian by Great Divide Brewing Company (2015-01-28)August 17th, 2016

Better cold this time, more burnt sugar. But still very bitter when I look for a lot more sweetness from this style.

I loved it when about a year old but I don't like where the flavor is going. I kind of get the wet cardboard thing. Not sure how much to chalk up to my palate changing vs. the beer changing. Whatever the case, I'll look to finish off the other bottle soon or give it away. Maybe try this again in the future and drink it while I like it. I think that's the lesson here with beer that is aging.

Massively bitter hops dominate. Some fruity hops flavor as well and as balanced as it can be when it's that bitter. Way overpriced, and 10% ABV is too high. There are others. But it hits the spot when you want that big bitter IPA.

Super malty for an IPA, this is a palate wrecker. It's probably lost some of the hoppiness because it's going on three months in the bottle but still very potent. It was delicious but the price of admission (11.5% ABV) is too high. There are other IPAs out there.
Drank 12 oz of 90 Minute IPA by Dogfish Head Craft Brewery (2016-03-01)August 10th, 2016
Drank 12 oz of Thumbprint Oud Bruin by New Glarus Brewing Company (2016-01-14)August 9th, 2016

Wow. This might be the best sour I have ever had. Really malty for a sour, in my experience. Had some sweet berry like notes. Maybe cherry? Not overpoweringly sour. So much more depth than a year ago. Another one I would like to always have on hand. New Glarus makes my favorite sours, hands down.
