2019-05-17 Much smoother than my recollection of the other 2016 bottle. Bittersweet chocolate and coffee grounds sounds about right but I'm enjoying it more this time. | |
2019-01-04 This one tasted like coffee grounds, and then unsweetened baker's chocolate as it warmed. Not my favorite. I remember getting a little sweetness to offset the bitterness in other bottles I have opened. | |

2019-05-03 Smoother than it smells. Basically an imperial Old Stock Ale, which is saying something. Big time dark dried fruit flavor. Very sweet but not cloying. Not a significant barrel character. 18.5% is just plain unnecessary but it was fun to try. | |
