Drank 375 ml of Sanctification by Russian River Brewing Company (2012-11-28) | May 4th, 2013 |
2014-05-28 Awesome, great wine notes, tasting so great. Not sure how much aging will do for these as they're so good from the get go.
2013-05-04 Great sour blonde, has that amazing Russian River balance
Drank 16 oz of Pliny the Elder by Russian River Brewing Company (2013-04-25) | May 4th, 2013 |
Drank 650 ml of Green Flash Imperial India Pale Ale by Green Flash Brewing Co. (2013) | May 4th, 2013 |
2013-05-04 Solid, straightforward DIPA.
Drank 375 ml of Older Viscosity by Port Brewing Company (2013) | May 1st, 2013 |
2019-08-09 Lots of abuse on the nose but almost none on the palate, a little thin but man has held up well. Chocolate and mellow malt flavor.
2013-05-01 Delicious, vanilla, oak, chocolate, and a very enjoyable beer to drink.
Drank 500 ml of Fuller's Vintage Ale by Fuller's (2006) | May 1st, 2013 |
2013-05-01 Pretty good, some stone fruit character, but also some oxidation; likely a little past its prime, should bring up the 2007 bottles this year as well.
Drank 12 oz of Conflux Series No. 1 (Collage) by Deschutes Brewery / Hair of the Dog Brewing Company (2012) | May 1st, 2013 |
2014-05-17 Didn't like it at first, but got better as it warmed up. Not great, but not bad, some weird notes kind of like the other Hair of the Dog bottle I had recently.
2013-05-01 Well carbonated, an interesting take on the Old Ale style, but was hoping for more Hair of the Dog influence.
Drank 375 ml of BFM Abbaye De Saint Bon-Chien Grand Cru 2011 (Vin Blanc Barrel) by BFM Brasserie Des Franches-Montagnes (2011) | May 1st, 2013 |
2013-05-01 Rather vinous, very complex, but honestly not a favorite for the style.
Drank 12 oz of Allagash White by Allagash Brewing Company (2013) | April 30th, 2013 |
Drank 650 ml of Imperial Russian Stout by Stone Brewing (2013-03-22) | April 29th, 2013 |
2014-09-23 Great beer, better than the 2012, less raisin, more coffee and roasted oak, some malt, and a tiny bit of tasty booze in the finish. Delicious.
2013-04-29 Tasty! Not as much brownie as 2012 release, guessing it needs time to settle.
Drank 750 ml of Prairie 'Merica by Prairie Artisan Ales (2013) | April 28th, 2013 |
2013-04-28 Interesting sweetness and funk, not bad but not great.
Drank 750 ml of Mrs. Stoutfire by The Bruery (2013-02-15) | April 26th, 2013 |
2014-07-11 Still tasty, much better than Smoking Wood, the smokiness is subdued but present, nice malt and stout characteristics.
2013-08-04 Still a nice smokiness, tastes like barbecue, I like it.
2013-04-26 Super smokey! Barbecue on the finish, quite good, will get more for Cami.
Drank 750 ml of Saison Tonnellerie by The Bruery (2013-03-19) | April 26th, 2013 |
2013-04-26 Solid mixture of farmhouse and mild sweetness, but nothing earth shattering. A good, straightforward saison.
Drank 12 oz of Narwhal Imperial Stout by Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. (2012) | April 25th, 2013 |
2013-08-19 Better than the last bottle, from what I remember, pitch black, nice thin head, great nose, nice mix of porter sharpness and stout character.
2013-04-25 Not as good as I remember on second tasting. A little dull.
2012-12-29 Mild nose, minimal head with decent lacing. Warmth and roasted malts immediately apparent, very solid and straightforward take on an Imperial Stout.
Drank 750 ml of 30th Anniversary - Fritz And Ken's Ale by Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. (2010) | April 25th, 2013 |
2014-11-23 Great bitterness and roast, with a bit of sweet up front, has held up really well. I think I hit it about right in terms of when to enjoy this last bottle.
2013-12-06 Started off a bit bland, but really came along as it warmed up, great bitterness coupled with nicely balanced stout character.
2013-04-25 What an amazing imperial stout. Great balance, perfect carbonation, and a complex finish with oak, coffee, and vanilla. Love it.
Drank 650 ml of Espresso Imperial Russian Stout by Stone Brewing (2013-03-28) | April 25th, 2013 |
2014-05-06 This has held up great! That great Stone IRS backing with some nice espresso on top, which surprisingly has not significantly faded. Delicious, may even have to pick up another.
2013-04-25 Espresso quite strong, and tasty. Big nose as a result, and the finish has a lot of coffee. Good, but wonder how the coffee will hold up to age. |
