This is probably one of the best beers I’ve had from Prairie. The pecan flavor is pronounced in a good way. Then you get sweet flavors of coconut and vanilla, followed by booziness from the barrel. Very well balanced.

Really great depth of flavor on this and the Utopias barrel definitely comes through. Cant wait to see how this transforms over time.

This is really good. Great flavor, lots of booziness, hint of sweetness, not too much bitterness. Can’t wait to see how this ages.

This hasn’t lost much of anything, save a little vanilla.

Don’t taste any coffee on this one any longer. The 2019 I had earlier was much better.

Good this year, though I’m less tolerant each year of the bitterness. If they reduced that, it would likely still be in my top 5.

This one has not held up as well as others. Mouthfeel is a bit thin and while there’s barrel left on it, there’s a hint of bitterness as well. Hoping it gets better as it warms.

This has good much richer in intensity of flavor, and particularly the cola, which I felt was incredibly subtle when fresh. I still don’t think it’s worth $1 more than the base and it’s still not my favorite.

Better than I remember when trying it fresh. The cola is still subtle, but it’s a nice variation on the base. I still do taste a bit of orange, but the finish differs from Midnight Orange, in that there’s no chocolate. Not my favorite, but still decent.

Mmmm. Welcome back my old friend. This is the BC I fell in love with but haven’t had since 2014. Dark, malty, bourbony booziness. Yum

Showing its age, but the coffee and spices are still present.

Maybe a bit past it’s prime, but still good. Getting a lot of chocolate. Flavors from the barrel are subtle, but the heat is detectable.

Still lots of mildly bitter cherry. Not my favorite BC, but still good.

Has definitely changed a little in the last year. Cherry is still forward, but not overpowering and not too sweet. The dark chocolate and malt come in powerfully after the cherry and linger through the finish, with a little hint of the cherry on the back.

The cherry flavors kind of resemble similar notes to aged BCBS, but with a bit more sweetness and a touch of tartness. While not my favorite variant, it’s pretty solid.

Nice coffee flavor with a hint of chocolate at the end. It’s not as thick as most Finback stouts.

Lots of hazelnut flavor with a fair bit of sweetness from the caramel. Thoroughly coats the palate and is nice and think. Finishes with some chocolate and a hint of the barrel. Really enjoyable.

Lots of sweetness; almost too much. A hint of dark chocolate. Not getting much else flavor-wise. Perhaps when it warms, there will be more.

Tasting more chocolate than I remember, along with the coconut and pineapple.

Still love this year’s Prop. The coconut blended with the pineapple just works and neither is overbearing. Plenty of dark chocolate comes shining through and the finish brings back the coconut and pineapple.

So yummy when it warms up a bit, when the coconut comes out. The pineapple is subtle, as is the lime. At Prop Day, I tasted banana, but not getting much of that from the bottle.

This is the 3rd time I’ve had this and it’s been amazing every time. Lots of toffee and typical barleywine sweetness, but with more depth and lots of booziness. Can’t wait to taste this after a few years of aging.

Just as good as I remember on Prop Day. Can’t wait to see what a few years will do to it.
