Very strong dark chocolate with a little too much bitterness. Coffee takes a back seat to the chocolate, but likely adds some bitterness of its own. Regardless, it’s really good.

This tastes a bit more bitter than I remember. Perhaps this wasn’t stored properly. Just bought it but is a year old.

Smells so good. Lots of bourbon and coffee on the nose. The only downside for me is the bitterness, which gets stronger on the aftertaste.

Held up very well. Sweet, lots of dark chocolate, booziness, and roasted malt.

Sadly not as good as 2016, which was not as good as 2015. This has an odd flavor profile and nose. Hoping my other bottles are better.

This doesn’t take like KBS anymore. The only things I taste are dark chocolate and malt, but not the way it was and not in a good way. The coffee is long gone. There’s almost a soapiness to it at first. KBS is best fresh.

Flavors tapered off over time. Still good, but it has lost something.

Only trace hints of coffee left. Dark chocolate and malt are predominate. Fresh is still best. Got 2016-2109 lined up after this.

This was their off year. I will say while it wasn’t good overall, it seems to have held up to where it was back then. Still best fresh.

Don’t taste any coffee on this one any longer. The 2019 I had earlier was much better.

Good this year, though I’m less tolerant each year of the bitterness. If they reduced that, it would likely still be in my top 5.
