Something’s not quite right about this one. Not infected, but it’s like all the malt dropped out and all that’s left is the booze. Weird...
2018-11-09
Still great after 3 years. Better than 2016/2017. More molasses; newer ones are thinner.
2018-01-22
Tasting great after 2 years of aging. Happy Birthday to me!
2016-12-01
Really great aged even only 1 year.
Drank 22 oz of Sea Legs Baltic Porter by Uinta Brewing Company (2014-11-12)May 7th, 2016

Not bad. Wouldn't buy again.

Drank 25 oz of Cuvee Noire by Brooklyn Brewery (2014)April 28th, 2016

Interesting. Slightly boozy, slightly sweet. Can't really describe flavor. Not sure I'd buy again.
Drank 12 oz of Nitro Coffee Stout by Samuel AdamsApril 26th, 2016
2016-04-26
Not bad but not getting much nitro. Flavor is good, not great.
Drank 12 oz of Cherry Stout by Bell's Brewery, Inc. (2015-11-13)April 26th, 2016
2016-04-26
Way too tart/sour. The underlying malt is good but is ruined by the overwhelming cherry. Subtle would have been a better way to go.
Drank 16 oz of Proprietor's Bourbon County Brand Stout (2015) by Goose Island Beer Co. (2015-09-18)April 24th, 2016
2016-04-24
I think mine may have possibly been infected. It had a bizarre sweetness and I didn't detect any coconut or anything else they brewed it with. Glad I tasted it and would like to try it once more when unknown it's not infected but Rare is way better, as is every other variant in my opinion.
Drank 25 oz of Darkness by Surly Brewing Co.April 20th, 2016
2016-04-20
Could tell it had been ages for 5 years. Aside from that, it was ok. There was too much bitterness for my taste.
Drank 22 oz of Barrel-Aged Old Rasputin XVIII (Aged In Rye Whiskey Barrels) by North Coast Brewing Co.April 18th, 2016
2016-04-18
Fantastic beer. Very boozy, malty, roasty and delicious. A little bite to it from the whiskey and a bit of bitterness from the hops, but not enough to be off putting. Really solid beer. Would buy again.
Drank 16 oz of Bourbon County Brand Stout Rare by Goose Island Beer Co. (2015-09-21)April 16th, 2016
2022-03-12
Still holding up amazingly. Lots of sweet barrel goodness that lingers, and dark chocolate.

This is in my opinion one of the best beers you can buy. I’m thankful to have been lucky enough to get a few bottles and am happy to say that this one has held up well, is not infected, and is the world class beer I remember when I first had it. Cheers! This is to celebrate paying off our mortgage!
2019-04-09
Not infected and held up amazingly well. No noticeable drop off in flavor since the last time I had one.
2017-12-31
So good, just like I remember it 2 years ago! Wow!
2016-04-16
Absolutely fantastic. Will definitely try to get more of this and age it. Very boozy but enjoyable. Sweet, smooth bourbon flavor really comes out nicely.
Drank 12 oz of Brewer's Reserve Bourbon Barrel Barleywine by Central Waters Brewing Company (2016)April 6th, 2016

Not good.
Drank 12 oz of Nostradamus by Brasserie Caracole (2015)April 6th, 2016

Tart and unpleasant.
