Jet black, with a small ring of bubbles that doesn't cover the entire beer. Aroma is coffee with a hint of vanilla. Taste is a strong coffee stout, with a cherry aftertaste. A small amount of spiciness or tingling lingers on afterwards. Alcohol is definitely there, but not overwhelming. Carbonation is just right, this beer 'feels' really good as you drink it. Overall this is outstanding. The base coffee stout is already delicious, and the added cherry is there just enough to add to the brew. Cherry can be a tricky flavor, but this is nicely done and not overwhelming.
