Drank 750 ml of 5 Golden Rings (Bourbon Barrel Aged) by The Bruery (2013-11) | January 27th, 2014 |
2014-01-27 Wow - all the reasons I didn't like the non BA version are gone. But instead they are just replaced with Bourbon. Hot, hot bourbon. Not very good.
Drank 750 ml of Checkpoint Charlie by AC Golden Brewing Company | January 27th, 2014 |
2014-01-27 Great stank the moment you pop the cork. Perfect for the style
Drank 12 oz of Fred by Hair of the Dog Brewing Company (2012) | January 24th, 2014 |
2014-01-24 Great combo/ratio of boozey and sweet. Plays well. Subtle toffee notes makes this a real pleasure to drink at this point.
Drank 750 ml of Bois - Brandy by The Bruery (2013-04) | January 24th, 2014 |
2014-01-24 Love brandy aged beers. The nose on this is great, I am just thinking its too sweet of a barrel to go with so sweet of a beer. About 3 ounces in and its pretty cloying.
Drank 12 oz of KBS (Kentucky Breakfast Stout) by Founders Brewing (2012-02) | January 24th, 2014 |
Drank 750 ml of The Wanderer by The Bruery (2013-10) | January 23rd, 2014 |
Drank 22 oz of Anniversary Ale #1 by River North Brewery (2013-02) | January 23rd, 2014 |
2014-01-23 Lots of dark fruits. Raisins and plums, very tasty still.
Drank 750 ml of Sea Change by Kane Brewing Company (2013-10) | January 21st, 2014 |
Drank 375 ml of Surette Provision Saison by Crooked Stave Artisan Beer Project (2013-04) | January 14th, 2014 |
2014-01-29 Can confirm with past me. Oxidation setting in. Drink this shit now, its wonderful, but going downhill and available most of the time.
2014-01-14 Wonderfully funky, but starting to get a bit of oxidation in the nose. Maybe I am just becoming more sensitive to it? Starting earlier than I would have hoped for this beer.
Drank 22 oz of Velvet Merkin by Firestone Walker Brewing Co. (2013) | January 13th, 2014 |
Drank 750 ml of Black Tuesday by The Bruery (2013) | January 13th, 2014 |
Drank 12 oz of Hibernation Ale by Great Divide Brewing Company (2012-09) | January 13th, 2014 |
2013-11-05 Side by side with this years. A year on it is wonderful. Nice dark fruit and leather coming through. The almost sherry like notes similar to an aged barleywine.
Drank 750 ml of Summit House Stout by Pikes Peak Brewing Co (2012) | January 13th, 2014 |
2014-01-13 Lots of rust around the cap which worried me. However the beer was good still. It had lost of a lot of its luster that really made it special fresh though. Just kind of muddled at this point.
Drank 22 oz of Perseverance Ale by Alaskan Brewing Co. (2011) | January 13th, 2014 |
2014-01-13 Birch really shining through. Sweet, but well enough balanced. Could have gone the distance.
Drank 12 oz of Backwoods Bastard by Founders Brewing (2013-09) | January 6th, 2014 |
2014-01-06 Got more oak than bourbon from the barrels. Too sweet without enough burn for me liking. Glad I got to try though! |
